In 1994, we got inverts. In 1999, we got Floorless. In 2002, we get Flying.
What other types do you think will come to the world?
My predictions, their version of a 4D coaster in 2005, or an inverted vertical coaster. ------------- Dude,Dude, Dude, Dude, Dude, Dude.....Dude. I've guess you've got a point there.
Uhhhh, yeah sure. Idoubt any of thos CrAzY ideas will ever see the light of day. C'mon an inverted vertical? You've been looking at those fantasy photos at COASTERnet a little too much. And the stand up inverted? That would probably give out a lot of G's and maybe even cause black outs or whatever they are called.
SFMMFREAK85, 3 years ago, would you have believed me if I told you there would be a coaster that launches from 0-80 in 1.8 seconds and goes 90 degrees up and down? Would you believe me if I said there would be a coaster where you lay flat out with only restraints holding you? Would you believe me if I said there would be a coaster that rotates you 360 degrees while doing a 200 foot vertical drop?
You underestimate engineering.
------------- Joshua Wilcox The following statement is true. The preceding statement is false.
Why would anyone really want a stand-up inverted? I'm sure it's possible, but why? Parks are the ones who get the things, and why would they want a stand-up inverted? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of inverted? It is meant to have no floor, and you'd have to have one for a stand-up inverted (otherwise think of what the Gs would do to guys when your legs can't absorb them! OUCH!)
So I highly doubt ANY company would waste thier time developing a ride that absolutly no park would want. It would be like riding inside of a box, not seeing where you are going. It's almost like that on inverteds now, except you can see below you or to the sides if your on the ends.
As for thier next type of coaster that they pioneer (I think they only pioneered Inverted, and they didn't do it all themselves, I bet they were inspired by suspendeds.) I don't know. I think they will take another company's design, and heavily modify it for thierselves. Hopefully it will be some kind of mad mouse (seriously!) That would be awesome, as long as they go back to how they used to design coasters (ala Iron Wolf, with extreme transisions)

how 'bout hypers/hyper twisters in '99? how 'bout sit downs in '93? how 'bout vertical drops in '98? how 'bout stand ups in '90(not '91)? that's all of 'em to date. what will the future hold? probably giga, some version of 4D, but what I'm more interested in is what new lay outs are B&M going to come up with. you can put me in any position you want, but if the lay out ain't good then you can forget it.
