Funniest park moment

My funniest park moment has to be when this guy who has 2 kids was trying to impress kids by telling them all this stuff about The Racer. Well there is this line under the board on the exit ramp which you walk through to get to the station. He is telling his kids that when they push a button that it makes the coaster go. I started laughing so hard at this guy. He asked me, " What's so funny?" I simply replied, " Those aren't to release the ride, it's a sprinkler system!" His own kids started laughing at him. Funniest thing ever!

The former Newbie to coasters. Ridden 100 coasters. Not so new anymore :)

It was a Saturday in August and I was at Cedar Point. (Yes, and I only got 9 rides in that day.) This girl was screaming very loudly going up the tower on the Demon Drop, pausing only to inhale. Over one thousand people heard her and were laughing very hard.

There have been so many... but the latest one was on the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. As we came into the station, the ride-op on the speaker asked "how was your ride?" We all cheered loudly, and then she asks "How many of you are lying?" Silence. :)

This is more ironic than funny. My first time on the Steel Phantom at Kennywood, which was about two years ago, I got stuck on the ride. It was our school picnic day and we went through the entire ride just fine but when we got to the end the coaster stopped and the brakes wouldn't let go. The employees said that it was the heat. Well it was about 90 degrees out that day. So maybe, but I will never forget the 25 or 30 minutes in a harness, a lot longer than I wanted to be in it.

I have a similar story like this on the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. I remember when one of the trains came into the station, and the guy on the speaker said How was your ride, and EVERYONE stayed silent expect for one person who cheered, he looked rather embrassed, and everyone creased with laughter, it was hilarious.
And again, when another train came into the station on the same ride, The guy said How was your ride, everyone stayed silent again, and then he said Well we know its not Millennium Force, but we're working on it, that brought a small laugh from the crowd.

Another amusing incident also happened at Cedar Point. Me and my dad were eating Lunch, when suddenly some ducks came out of nowhere and were going round the tables trying to nick everyone's food, we had to move tables because they were so annoying, people tryed to scare them away, but they kept coming back, Well eventually 2 members of staff came along with nets to try and catch them, but the ducks were clever and kept dodging the nets everytime, and it made for quite an amusing show, you could tell the staff were frustrated, and it was sooooo funny with everyone watching them trying to catch them.

Mine was at PKI. After we rode the Beast we checked out our pictures and some black lady flipped off the camera and security told her if she did it again she would have to leave. So she starts sreaming and cussing so she had to leave.

some black lady

Does it really matter what race they are? That sounds very rude to me but oh well. Can't change the world with one post. Anyways, my funniest park moment was when my sister spilled her lemonade all over the vender person in line for the 7th Portal at PKI. What happened was he handed it over and she wasn't expecting how heavy it was and she dropped it alol over him. She was like "OMG I'm so sorry!" and he was like "It's ok, it happens all the time". It was pretty funny.

I always find it interesting to see that when ever anything negative is done by a person of the black race then the race is mentioned, when anything positive is done, race is not. Just an observation.

In regards to the funniest moments I'd have to say Paddlewheel Excursions is by far and away one of the best attractions at CP. I have yet to ride it without laughing at the lack of enthusiasm in the ops voice. They do a great job.

Wipe-Out beach at PKI is where my story happened. This fat 10-year-old was on it, and fell off. He comes up the back of it with his pants around his ankles! HE sits there, spread-eagle for 2 minutes trying to pull those shorts back up! The lifeguard had to run over and assist! Oh man, that was hilarious!

Women was god's second mistake.

There was this guy in a wheelchair who was at the mike on mind eraser at darien lake a couple years ago. It said it in this funny voice "welcome to the mind eraser....eraser......eraser.......eraser....... Please secure all loose articles such as french fries, hats, gloves, shirts, condoms, keys, watches, shoes, sandels, shorts, pants, sunglasses, cameras, suntan lotion, bathing suits, backpacks, prizes, soft drinks, ect....ect.......ect......ect.......ect...........Oh yeah and be sure to kick the fat lady when she comes to check your restraint! Oh yeah and enjoy...............your.................ride...............on.......the.....mind

Eraser............Clear....Clear....Clear.......vroommmmmm finally the lift started and the ride was off! Very funny.

Once on S:ROS the ride dude forced the other ride dude into the seat, pulled the seatbelt with all his might, and took his foot and kicked the lapbar with all his weight. the guy couldn't even breath! They sent that out anyway. There was also a fight when that train got back. lol.

Also on one of my onride photos i am just sitting there looking bored, my mom is getting her hair all messed up and her eyes are closed, then there looks to be jackie chan in the back of us and he is really constapated. give me your email and i'll send it to yas!

What ever floats your boat-What ever bursts your bubble - What ever tickles your pickle :)

On the weekend, I was working at Shockwave at Canada's Wonderland, and a group of particularly rude teenage/early twenties women came on. They were acting all "cool", etc. Anyway, they got on the ride, and it started spinning. About half way through, a black object came flying off, and landed in the first loading area. When it landed we realized that it was a wig. We were trying not to laugh, and the whole queue was cheering and laughing. When the ride stopped, one of those "cool" young ladies reached up to her head, only to find that her wig was gone, exposing her unwashed 2 inch hair... she ran off, only to return a few minutes later to retreive her wig, with the queue roaring with laughter. It was quite amusing :)

At Great Adventure a man in his early twentys with his *hot* girlfriend got on the seat of Nitro and chickened out got off and everyone clapped and cheered. His girlfriend rode alone. Maybe I should of offered to ride with her:)

"poojax to the people"

One time at SFA we were waiting for test runs to finish in the morning, and we were the to get on the second train out for the day. The first train was sent out, and then the second train started pulling into the station. The Ride OP said "welcome back, I hope you enj....(then he started laughin)" The train was empty! It had come back from the test run. Everybody in the queue was laughin, and to this day (this happened back in 98 or 99), everytime I go to the park, i see him and we laugh.

Then one time someone lost a sweater on S:ROS at SFA. It got caught on the track on the first hill. One train was sent out and ran over it, almost stalling the ride. It made it back and someone told that it was on the track. So they eventually got it, and brought it back to the station. The ride op then said "THIS is why we tell you to SECURE and to NOT carry loose articles on this ride! Observe, Exhitbit A, (holds up the sweater), now do u want all your stuff ending up like this" Everybody started laughing. The sweater had all these tears and mess and had grease all over it. It was shreaded beyond recognition almost!

So...you can't handle a rollercoaster huh? Well...you ARE the Weakest Link! Goodbye!
Number 1 Batwing Fan!

When I was at BGW, we were in the queue for Escape From Pompeii. A water ride. She took her shirt off thinking she was wearing a bathing suit but she was only wearing a bra! I was screaming so everyone would look over.

80 coasters and soon to be more
Life is a roller coaster Ride It!

Somehow I seem to miss most of the funny things that happen at parks. But there was this past May 4th when the ride op for Villain got everyone on the train to start cheering. He had them spell out All Clear as a cheerleader does....example, Give me an A, A! Give me an L, L!, etc. But when he got all done doing that he said, "What's that spell?" and the whole train was quiet. Nobody knew what it spelled, but they eventually figured it out.

mmm, roller coaster
(Homer Simpson)

once i went to see the it's christmas, charlie brown ice spectacular at knotts berry farm. at the end of the show they let like 25 doves fly from the back of the audience to the stage as a symbol of peace. well, a few of the birds never made it. they stopped on the rafters. the park employees kept on trying to capture the birds with blankets, but they were unable to catch them: they were flying from one side of the auditorium to the other. the whole audience (full show with about 4,000 people)
saw and laughed at the employees. i don't know if they ever caught them.
There is another time where this lady was getting on FoF at PKI with me when she suddenly like passes out!!! I was so freaked. I kept shaking her and asking her if she was ok. Well come to find my dad paid the lady 20 bucks to act like she was passed out so I wouldn't be ready for the takeoff. Quite funny until he lost his lunch on Sonny.

The former Newbie to coasters. Ridden 100 coasters. Not so new anymore :)

I have two moments which come to mind.

I was once at Cp with JOE (coasterbuzzer) and there were three of us in our group. Three does not work all that well so Joe would always try to grab a lone seat somewhere in the train. Every time, I mean Every time joe sat down he had some interesting person sit next to him. I guess you would have to be there. But after the 3 or fourth time this happened (even with other empty rows in the trains) it was hilarious. Joe did not like it though.

The second that comes to mind has to do with the same thing. Joe and I were riding the CP Cedar Creek Mine ride and there were very few people riding it. We each had our own seat and there were several open rows on the train. Lo and behold, This kid (12 or so) comes and sits next to Joe. The kids starts explaining about how he is afraid of coasters and he heard this one was the tamest in the park. So joe starts talking to the kid about how the coaster goes at least 15 miles an hour and has a drop of at leat 200 centimeters and stuff like that. The kid was so terrified he had no comprehension of how small the figures were. He was freaking out. In a sick way it was Hilarious...
