I visited SFMM way back in July 1994, and I have never seen a theme park so crowded before. The Car park Was was absolutly full up everywhere, There was huge queues to get tickets. Inside it was worse
Every RollerCoaster excluding Viper for some reason had 1hr queues or more(Viper peaked at 20 mins only) The Water Rides were 2-3hrs(It was 90 degrees and Tha Rapids queue nearly spread all the way back to Psyclone, NO I AM NOT JOKING) and it was so crowded walking everywhere, it was impossible not to bump into people. All other Rides had at least 40-50 min queues.
I only got on 4 Rides during that day, Viper,Ninja,Phyclone, and Batman, and they was just spending half a day at the park :(

Also because of the crowds, a lot of queue jumping went on, and no security around to catch people(DEAR OH DEAR) The staff were also a bit horrible, We wanted to stand on the bridge to their Shoot the Chutes Ride to get wet, but the memeber of staff just said, SORRY You've gotta queue up. HOW RUDE, We only wanted to get wet because the weather was soo hot, but he wouldnt let anyone go up there.

I'm going back to SFMM this year(this time in June on 2 Hopefully Quiet Weekdays) so hopefully I will have a more pleasent experience

The worst crowds I have ever exsperanced at a park must have been every time I viseted SFgadv in 1999 when medusa first opened. Every time I would go no matter the weather it would be 1hr waits for mostly everything..... The line for medusa was always about 1hr 45mins.... Viper had its whole queue line filled which is a rare site... GASM has its whole queue line filled which is another rare site... As for The chiller it had its whole queue full and going tord there music exspress ride... Basicaly every Rollercoaster had its queue line filled to capaicty and then some more people pooring out the entrance..... Then I leanrded I shouldent visit there on saterdays any longer....

Everytime I visited CP earlier in my life, the park seemed to be packed. My first eight visits or so left me going away very unpleased. One weekday in June of 1995 all rides had full queues with 2-3 hour waits. I think we only got on three coasters. If I remember correctly there may have been a company picnic but I'm not totally sure. I only visit CP during October now, preferably on cold and rainy days.
I;ve been to PKD when it was full over an hour wait for thier apids ride. hour or so for shock wave hour for everything. this was a while ago. no biggie though I don;t go to PKD anymore I go to BGW.

SFWoA 3 times!!!

July 4th- I was there all day and only got 2 rides the entire day. It was the worst trip to any park that I have had. (they had the free ticket coupons with season passholders this day)

August......sometime in August on a Saturday- The park was totally packed. But luckily this time I got a few more rides. I pretty much spent the day on BKF

August 15th-Wednesday (another free ticket day) I can't stand crowded parks anymore.

A little advice: Never ever go on a day with free ticket coupons (for a single day only) or a Saturday in August (I'm not sure what saturdays in the rest of the summer are like)

Millennium Force......It has its ups and downs.

I have 32 coasters in my track record.....I'm so proud of myself.

SFMM Summer of 2000- The park started off ok but as the day wore on the lines quickly grew...1/2 hour...1 1/2 hours...it did that all afternoon until each major coaster was at least a 3 hour wait. I left after that.

Danny1985, before your question gets lost, I'll say that I know for a fact that Disney here in FL has capacity limits. Once they've reached the max, they won't allow more guests in. I've seen HHN at USF (Fri., Oct 200) and PKI on a Saturday (during CoasterCamp last year;)) busy beyond belief. I also remember making the mistake of thinking MLK, Jr. Day wouldn't be that busy at BGT....WRONG! Win some, lose some.

After hearing that CP has less crowds on holidays, we tried a July 4 overnighter. Don't recall the exact year, but it was before Mantis and after Raptor was built. I think 1996. It was the most crowded I'd ever seen the park. Lines were 2-3 hours for the large coasters. Corkscrew even had nearly an hour wait. It was also a hot, humid day, so all water rides had the 2 hour waits. We spent most of the day in our room, and looked forward instead to the fireworks. About an hour before dark, thunderstorms moved in. We watched the fireworks in drizzle, and afterwards, most of the coasters were still closed due to the rain. The fireworks were awesome, but it had to be the worst day we'd ever spent at CP.

The next morning, we got a few rides in very early (Raptor, Magnum, Mean Streak), but by 11 am, the rides had waits well over an hour. So we left. The only saving grace was we had Season Passes, so it wasn't our only trip that year.

What are parks generally like on Memorial Day? I didn't know if they were worse than July 4th.
