From Seattle: signs of hope!

PF Fanatic - how do you know wood coaster trains from S&S would be any better than PTCs? Have you ridden any?

No I haven't but I don't think you can get any worse than a SPRINGLESS lapbar like on ST. A self stapling lapabar ruins the ride experience. Put it this way a S&S train can't be any worse than Rampage's or Shivering Timbers trains unless it's like an Arrow train, those are the only trains inferior to springless PTCs.

What trains are used on the Rampage at Visionland?

Those are PTCs, as are the ones on both wood coasters at SFoG. Thankfully, those torture devices at SFoG are the exception and not the rule.

Pink Floyd Fan - What wood coaster sports Arrow rolling stock?

chris, who still contends that a lapbar isn't going to ruin anything for me.

PF Fanatic - so are you saying that if you're stapled you have absolutely no fun on the ride? None?

If so that's really, really sad.

Sig under construction!

There are no wood coasters with Arrow stock. I was just showing you that restainsts on Magnum, Gemini, and Exacalibur are the worse lapbar restraints on this planet. Otherwise the worse one are the springless crap on Rampage and Shivering Timbers. ST is still a good ride design but the trains sucks.

Another small update from the site mentioned in the first post. And it now shows a picture of the land use proposal indicating the coaster will indeed rise above the 75 ft height limit!!!
Rumor has it as 120 ft; too cool..............
So, any guess as to when (if) this park will be branded?

"What's your first name. Rob. What's your last name? Bob. No, not your first, your last. Bob. Oh.....so what's your first name?" Sigh:(
I willing to venture a guess that this park will be branded before the 2004 season and will probably see one more addition (maybe something used) for that year. I'm rooting for the development of this park as my wife and I plan on relocating the Pac. NW after I finish law school.
It can't be too much longer before we see bents being stood up for this coaster. Anyone know when EV/WW is scheduled to open?

I noticed some bents up last Thursday when I drove by. I can't wait to have a new coaster, right in my own backyard.

After eastcoaster I have some more info on the S&S woodie at Enchanted Forest. First, Tom Rebbie mentioned they are making PTC trains for it. He apparently called the park SF Seattle at No coaster Con by mistake. He said he was told it wasn't "announced yet"...but after he told the story I wasn't sure if he meant the wood coaster wasn't announced yet or maybe that the park was indeed going to be called "Six Flags Seattle". I think it was just the coaster, and he called it that because EF is near Seattle, not that it will become a SF park yet.

So there are bents being stood up? There is a chance this coaster may be up and running by opening day!:)
ZeroG, I see the PNE Coaster is missing from your track record. You must join Nasai and I on a trip to Vancouver,BC if you you want to experience the most amazing airtime filled woodie in the Pacific Northwest. Hellevator, the S&S Space Shot ride there isn't half bad either and it is not an upcharge ride! Click on my info for a glimpse of the PNE Coaster.

Hey Ron, that is a missing piece of my track record . I did have a chance of going with you and Rob last year, but was way to busy at the time. I am definitely going there this year.

Anywho, a little update on the inaugurating S&S woody. Yesterday I dove by EV on Enchanted Parkway to get a little closer look and notice that 70% of the turnabout was complete on the NE corner of the new coaster. I was shock to see that much had been completed.

Sorry Rob , no pics :)
