^Even some of the *new* stuff there is loaded with charm. Twister has a curved brake run, curved station, and curved transfer track! It's like being back in the 20s, but modern safety of course.

Really? A dog? That seems like it would be very unsafe. How does the park know if a dog isn't going to get upset and bite someone? And, where do people leave these dogs while they ride the rides? Seems like it would be very unpleasant to the dog, especially if it's hot, and there are a lot of people. Or. worse yet, get loose and end up causing an accident.
Our campground lets people bring their pets, and even though most have their dogs with them a majority of the time, a lot of times you see them sadly tied to a tree, with little room to move around, or in a cage looking very sad. The main worry is getting run over by a car, or getting in a fight with another dog, or, biting someone.
I hope that the park is prepared for this. But, since some people are stupid enough to bring their dogs to an amusement park, I guess it's better to have it roaming the park, then suffering locked in a hot car. That makes me mad!
You kind of need to get to Knoebels, because I don't think you'll 'get' it until you do.

Taking a dog to knoebels is one of life's simple pleasures. It's so wonderful when people pet and comment on them, and it's a real bonding experience with your 4-legged friend.
I'd hate to see timber rider when he realizes they let people in with pit bulls (gasp!). Saw the most beautiful little guy there last year, just a puppy, still in his awkward phase. He was so vicious, he attacked.... My funnel cake and licked the powdered sugar off my hands when I was petting him.
Dude needs to get out of Muskegon if he plans to make any meaningful contributions here.

I have a funny feeling this might be true at your local Six Flags park. Call me judgmental... The "bring your dog" rule seems to work wonderfully at Knoebel's. The clientele argument is sometimes very true.
I only get mad when the dogs cut in front of me in line with their flash passes.

My solution to that, Carrie, is to only ride rides where the dogs must be at least 48 inches tall to ride. :)

I have been to a lot of amusement parks, and this is the first time I have ever heard of a park that lets you bring your dog. I know that Cedar Point has a kennel for dogs. I'm not sure if they still do, but, I for one would not bring a dog to an amusement park.
I'm hoping that since Knoebels does, I hope they are at least looking out for the dog's safety. Like places for the dog to get water without having to pay for it, and maybe places where you can get dog treats. Do they do that? And, what does the dog do while you are riding the roller coasters? Sit there tied to a park bench? Maybe, we should tie a few riders to a park bench and see how much they like it, while the rest of us ride. Maybe in the hot sun for two hours while we wait in line, with no water to drink.
I'm sorry, I think it's a very bad idea.
I didn't do it! I swear!!
Dogs get all kinds of great ammenities at Knoebels. First of all, all dogs get free FlashPasses. Dogs are allowed to ride everything there. They even have special doggie restraints on the rides. Have you ever seen a dog riding a log flume or a carousel? My dog's favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion! He barks at the skeletons every time. You really have to go to the park and see for yourself. It's awesome!

Once again, you assume that everyone just oes to power ride rides, timberrider. When my friend and I were there with his dog, when we did want to ride something, one of us stayed with the dog while the other rode, then traded off. It's the same thing you do with a small kid. You don't just leave them in their stroller while you have fun.
Seriously, man, get out of your bubble.
I'm just glad that the park consistently enforces the rule preventing the dogs from using their Go-Pro video cameras while on the rides.

Yeah. What dog carries cash around anymore?
