Frequent Faller

I never said Screamin' Squirrel would have headbanging, but I said it looked rough. Rides can be *plenty* rough without ever having any lateral movement.

Well , then in what way do you mean rough? Do you actually mean uncomfortable instead?

Every "rough" coaster I've ever been on had headbanging or lateral movement.

I'd like to thank the academy , and my mom , and my fans,and.....oh forget it , I hate you all.

Rough in the track. Bouncy, bangy, etc. Rides can jerk you around without ever having any lateral movement.

Certainly you've been on rough out and back coasters, no?

-Nate

Looks like they sold the first one, coming to a major N. American park Spring 2005:

Any guesses where? Too short to be the SFGAD coaster, but would be a good fit for a land strapped small park like SFEG or SFKK.

So I guess all the rumors about what SFGAdv. is getting can be laid to rest, the worlds tallest & fastest Frequent Faller is coming!;)
Would anyone know where to find this video? I have searched through screamscape, google, and cbuzz and can't find anything.
You guys the amusement park that it is going to is Lagoon in Utah. In one of the pics and article provided by jomo it shows our Dragon and new Spinning coaster.

F.T.B.S.I.T.T.T.D.
Hmmm, could be possible that it's just a park backdrop IR generated just for marketing purposes since they are located only a few miles away from Lagoon? It did say a major N. American park, although Lagoon is a very nice park, calling it a major park is a bit of a stretch.

Good catch though Mike, didn't even notice till you mentioned it. You could very well be right, in which case, another Lagoon visit will be in the works for next year (gotta do Spider!).

Not that I particularly want to get flamed or anything, but could this be an addition to Cedar Point? It has been rumored that their next coaster project may be small(meaning a family coaster) and they would add a Huss Giant of some sort in the same year. I'm not saying I have any kind of inside info or anything, just what I have heard. Take it for what you will. My question is, have you checked out the Navy: The Experience coaster at interactive's web site? I think it looks cool and from the specs it sounds like it could go higher than TTD. *** Edited 6/17/2004 3:07:42 PM UTC by Dragster Freak***
I think its possible that this could be a new one for Cedar Point, considering its small and (relatively) cheap. That Navy coaster does look cool, I didnt even know they made coasters (well, I guess they havn't actually made any yet). While it doesn't look as great as a large coaster, I think it would actually be a great small addition to any park!
Mike, how does the pic confirm that? I would imagine that they're just using it as a mock up....It could go to lagoon, but then again, I hear Major theme park, and Lagoon is not what I think....;)
I was ready to immedialtely rule out Cedar Point based on capacitiy. However, if the 960 per hour capacity can be reached it is a good candidate for a larger park.
If you go by the Lagoon photo mock up it appears to be a parking lot coaster ;)
I'll take S&S's SS over the FF. While both look incredibly fun, I don't think you can get the same rush as riding upside down.

It only took time before the FF was made. But, to ride upside down for a prolonged time? I wouldn't have even dared to dream that just 5 years ago...

The SS seems to be more intense, thrilling, and all around a better ride to me. But, don't think that I don't think the FF would be a good addition to any park....

It looks quite fun. :)

You may take SS over FF, but I bet most of the GP won't. FF looks to be a great family coaster, something SS certainly is not.

Precisely Black 7. I completely understand that FF is much more of a family coaster than SS. I 100% understand and am for the family park experience, with PKI being my "home" park and favorite. (Yes, I live in Nashville. But living practically next to PKI for 11 years, it will always be my "home" park)

Many enthusiasts don't like this family experience because parks aren't building as many thrills for them. But the thrills will still be built. Just not as often. And while I would love to ride both, I still am a thrill-seeker. Which is why I, personally, would rather ride SS.

And the GP still looks for thrills too. Otherwise TTD wouldn't be built, Scream wouldn't be built, Storm Runner wouldn't be built...... So on.

Actually, probably the most popular demographic riding it at the factory is the 8-10 year-olds. While parents ride it a few times the tween demo. really loves it. Being young they just enjoy going head-over-heels again and again.

Adam

Well, there you go.... even more fuel to my side.
