Free parking at Geauga Lake

If you have a coupon that is. I found a flyer from Geauga Lake in the Sunday Columbus Dispatch that included a free-parking coupon good through August 28.

Pretty good deal considering the obnoxious $9 parking fee. Maybe a similar flyer will show up in other papers as well.

$9 parking isn't that bad, it's like what, $1 more than normal? Out here parking is $10 at many parks.

Pittsburgh last week. Columbus this week. Cedar Fair is trying.

This is the first "free parking" promotion I think I've ever see a park run.

That's not bad considering that with parking its only 34$ to get in the park for 1 person . But seeing as when my fam goes to a theme park its about 120$ and 9 bucks doesn't really make a difference. *** Edited 7/10/2005 9:02:18 PM UTC by Tycoontitan***

It might just seem high since admission this season is $19.95 at GL, but $8-$9 is pretty standard. Kudos to CF for doing what they can to get peoples attention.

My sister-in-law and her husband just went up there July 1st and 2nd and loved it! They rode every coaster in the park except Beaver Land Mine Ride by 1:00 the first day. They also said the employees were great, and the park was exceptionally clean.

I would take advantage of it. It beats parking across the street at the Wal-Mart and risk your car being towed. ;-)

Admission is a STEAL compared to what you get in return. :-P

This is a great coupon. Plus, the revenue from the ad can help me keep my job at the Columbus Dispatch (yes, I really work there)
I just have to clear up that the price for a ticket at GL is $24.95. Just thought I would clear that up.
Now, if you eat at McDonalds and park there and happen to leave your car that's completely legal. ;)

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
well maybe john you can please tell me why foxtrot wasn't new today. Did he miss his dedline?or is he talking a sabitacal? just a Q.(sorry for the off-topic wont happen agian;))

I hope someone gets me one of those, because I'm in no hurry to go back without one.

The 19.95 admission special ran up UNTIL the waterpark opened. Pretty good deal, except I already had my Knotts SP. But the daily admission HAS gone up to 24.95, which still IS a really good deal on a day pass, about the same as most waterparks that DON'T have amusement rides...

I doubt these parking specials have MUCH of an impact on attendance at GL or KW (which I figure is the *target audience* for these free parking deals)....

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

why don't they just do FREE parking all the time? It seems to work for the SDC parks. ;) (SDC, CC, WWB)

You mean change the gate to $28.95 and make parking free? Gee, that sounds an awful lot like a certain Pittsburgh park's current pricing. ;)

Check Rideman's response/idea in this thread...interesting stuff.

Hey gonch, What does Goncher mean? Or did you just make it up? Just wondering. *** Edited 7/11/2005 4:26:57 AM UTC by Tycoontitan***

It's latin for "Don't ask me what my screen name means or I'll kill you." ;)

Ever look at www.gonchar.com? (that should answer all your questions :) )

In Soviet Russia questions answer you.
Well, I give them credit for trying something different though I'm not sure how some people might percieve this.

If I had never visited the park before I might be inclined to wonder how ripped off I was going to be INSIDE the park if the promotion they are running is for Free Parking outside the park.

Forget the "Free Parking" nonsense. Lower the fee. It is ridiculously high.

Good to know Goncher. I'm glad i didn't ask what your screen name ment;) oh yeah, i can't read any of that giberish thats on that site.Probly what they(or you) ment to do. *** Edited 7/11/2005 3:08:06 PM UTC by Tycoontitan***
