Fox News Channel Talking about Ed Markey

Just saw Sen. Malarkey on there. What a BONEHEAD!!! I'm sure there are some REAL problems he could be trying to solve. What do you think this guys hang up is? Think he barfed once on a coaster and vowed revenge ever since?? What a BooB!!!!!

I think he got hurt on a ferris wheel when he was a kid. I bet it was his fault, too, so now he's just being an idiot. Yarg, I could go on and on about this moron, but I won't.

jeremy, my poor pitiful Gators... I guess the Illini will go on, we really showed a lack of composure toward the back end of the season...PS, your guys can take KU, especially if Hinrich is as hurt as he looked...and oh yeah, that Malarkey guy! Really, I think what he's buying into more than anything is the insurance lobby's back pocket

Sorry about dem 'gatas, but we both knew it could happen. As for the I-L-L I-N-I/ KU match up, bascially it the same teams that met in last years "Candy-coated Four Squared". I predict a similar result.

I wonder what the FOX News coverage of that last "00.2 seconds" will be.

Let's not get into it about liberal and conservative, as we've found time and time again they have nothing to do with anything.

If you get the LA Times, keep an eye out for an article there. I did an interview with them yesterday, and I'm interested to see what they've got to say.

Wow Jeff, the "LA" Times? For a man "down on his luck" you sure do get around ;)

Seriously though, you have my sincerest "positive thoughts" that you get something that you want to do.

I love fox, yet I don't watch their news. I'd rather find a more reliable source.

haux, actually it was Rep. Paul Caron , who I believe is a State representative in Massachusetts, who was once hurt on a Ferris wheel. His incident led not only to some substantive improvements in the design of the Big Eli seats, but also to his attention to amusement ride safety.
His particular interest is probably why the Massachusetts ride law (520 CMR 5.00) is titled, "FERRIS WHEELS, CAROUSELS, INCLINED RAILWAYS OR SIMILAR AMUSEMENT DEVICES."

In any case, my reading of the Massachusetts regulations suggests that they have a pretty good set of regulations in place, all very reasonable and should be very effective. As opposed to Markey's bill which in my opinion is primarily a cash-grab for the CPSC and a power play that could potentially dismantle the good programs already in place in many states.

The Fox News Channel definately knows who it's audience is. Sometimes I think they do stories just for controversy. I mean, they have Geraldo as one of their main reporters now. What's even worse, is he gets caught lying about a story, and he's still there. After I saw the last 30 seconds of this story the other day, I immediately flipped to the menu section of my VCR and hit ERASE. :) No more Fox News for me. Since I think that their audience would probably be more along the lines of people who would ride coasters verses people who don't, do you think they did the story just for ratings? I mean there is no newsworthy information they related...
