Forum Signature Saving

I used to have a stupid signature for my forum posts.

To get rid of it, I cleared the forum signature area in my personal buzz.

When I selected 'make changes' and clicked yes in the pop-up window, the same forum signature as before remained!

Try logging out, shutting down the browser, then logging back in. Some people's browsers tend to be a huge pain in this regard.

Yeah I have noticed if I sign in from another computer that it doesn't display my signature. Only if I use my MAC at work.

That I don't understand... my signature follows me around everywhere, even to Hawaii!

If I change my signature, I have to do it twice too. Once on my office pc, and again at home. But everything else roams with me.

Oh yeah... I should've indicated that. If you don't logout and back in, whatever you have in the cookie will still be there.

That answers that! I never log out from either location. It's just easier...

Well, that still doesn't seem to solve the problems I'm having with my .sig...I think Jeff was lying when he said the buffer was 255 characters 'cause it looks like I got less than half of that...

How about tacking the signatures on separately from the message, the way my newsreader does it, so that the signature doesn't appear at the top of the edit window in Lynx?

Hmmm... that's a possibility. I've noticed that Mac IE5 puts the sig on the first line as well. Most curious.

Perhaps on the next version...

Well, Lynx is a special case anyway. The edit region is divided up into a plurality of lines for entering text and the lines scroll sideways *individually* with 255 characters per line (I think). My guess is that, assuming I manage to get a .sig built, I'll probably hack it off when posting from Lynx. That's the easy solution, anyway. :)

(I know, now someone is gonna tell me not to get hacked off...)
