Forum search does not work

When I try to search the forums, my browser just sits for a while, and eventually I get this error message from CoasterBuzz:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e31'

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired

The article,park,coaster search works fine.

I was just going to post the same. I know this has been broke for a little while. Any idea when it will be functioning again?

Try narrowing your search using the More search options link next to the search button. Limit the search to one forum and see if it works. Also, see this thread for more of the same problem.

It's not "broken," exactly, the forums have just become too large for the search to be effective. You can try this, but I can't guarantee the results or the continuity of the links:

I used that thing, and it worked fine, but when I try to go to the next page (searched for 'Valleyfair') I get this:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The column prefix 'FreeText' does not match with a table name or alias name used in the query.

That's a link problem, as I said you'd have. Notice the page reference is to "search.asp" and not "search2.asp."
