For those that complain about the lack of flats...

uhh i was wondering how to get the rides to work,im stuck.
It's looking good,I hope the guy who's working on it can get it done ASAP.
Has anyone used these rides in a park or uploaded a park with them in it. I have tried several times unsuccessfully to download them. They just aren't showing up in my senario editor.

I got the earlier rides, wild west show and castle but this is getting real exciting with so many new rides popping up.

Yay! Now instead of coaster designs we could make flat designs!

Look at some of my recent Cbuzz games designs!
http://games.coasterbuzz.com/filedetail.aspx?GameFileID=4698 (A recreation of Whizzer @ SFGAm)
http://games.coasterbuzz.com/filedetail.aspx?GameFileID=4672
(A Givonola Hyper-Twister Mine Train)

I've downloaded most of this stuff and it works fine. You just put it in your Objdata folder. it works great. I'm working on an SFGAm recreation and used the Swinger for the Whirligig.

Has anyone heard anything about the progress on the delerium flat ride at all?

I hope the guy didn't give up on making it but I havn't heard anything new on it over the past few days.

He closed the post on Delirium to work without interuption I'm sure. I wouldn't expect it to be done anytime soon. Like you I hope he keeps working to.
I downloaded the rides and they don't show up. Granted I am computer dumb. When I open the file the games starts up and the ride isn't in the senario editor. Where do I get the option to put it in the objdat folder. Months ago someone uploaded a small park with the wild west show, the castle ,dippin dots, jurrasic bathroom and mcdonalds fries stall. When I downloaded the park all that stuff was automatically installed in my game/senario editor.

I guess I'm looking for an easy way for my dumda$$ to get the stuff

John what you do is download the ride. The ride is a .dat file. You open up your RCT2 folder. You find the ObjData folder. You open that up and you put the .dat file into it. (You may need to unzip the file you downloaded first, to get the .dat file). But then when you start up the game go into Scenario Editor and in the rides menu, all the new rides will appear. It works for me!
Why 9is it every time it try to dfownload these thing winzip calls it a dat file and there no way of getting it into rct2. even selecting a program only give me a couple to choose from rct being one of theme and when u do try to open it with that bugger all happens help!
I appreciate the computer lesson Eyeamthu1 but it just doesn't work for me What happens is I download the ride with Real Download the dat file message comes up asking me what program I want to open the file with. I select RCT2 and the game starts up but no ride. The swinger does something different. I get a file to run I click it and get a window with a bunch of nonsense words.

Told you I was a Computer dumba$$

If you have these rides please send me a small park with them in it. Just remeber to check the "export plug in objects with saved games" in the options menu

send to jkre13601@aol.com with subject line new rides park

The problem is that Real Download or whatever it is that you use is trying to open the file after downloading it to a temporary spot. You are goign to need to save the file to the object folder and then start RCT2 on it's own. THen when starting the game the little checking objects bar will come up. If Real Download does not let you save the file to hard disk and not have to open it (never used the program, never heard of ti actually) then you will have to switch download managers, use the browser's default downloader, or jsut live with it and wait for someone to put the stuff in a park.
That's why I use winzip.

Anyone heard anything lately on the progress of that delerium ride?

He closed the project. 2nd to last page on the topic.
I dont think I will touch this for some time. Not too sure what to do.
Yeah, look John- you can't just open the DAT file with RCT2 (e.g. like a saved game)- you need to save it to your ObjData folder, or, if its easier you need to save it to your desktop and then move it into your ObjData folder in RCT2 folder. That's the ONLY way it'll work.
Ok, Let me explain this step by step since we all seem to be screaming half a*s*s answers here. I am going to give you these instructions assuming you have winzip downloaded on your comp. If you don't here is the link to download it http://www.winzip.com/.

1.) Download the particular piece of scenery that you want to download and save it to your objdata folder.

2.) Now, SOME scenery muxt be extracted using winzip. If it needs to be, there will be a little winzip icon next to that file. Click on the file that you want to unzip. Click the "extract all files" icon on the left hand of the toolbar (also assuming your using WindowsXP). After you do that, a little winzip screen will pop up. You click start next and then after that it will let you choose where to save it. You MUST put it in your objdata folder. After that, click finish and it will be successfully donwlaod into your rct2.

3.) When you go to create a scenario, you will find the scenery that you downloaded in the beginning in the boxes that check off for pieces of scenery that you want to include in your game. You must look carefully, they are there. I know even sometimes I have to hunt for them because the lists are just so long.

Hope that helps. Let me know if that works.

Hallelujah for WinXP. I LOVE the fact that a zip/unzip program is already in the OS. That's nice.

Whenever you can ride a roller coaster and experience 15 spots of intense airtime, you know you're on a good coaster. (see: Phoenix)

It's too bad that he gave up on the delerium project because it was looking really good & I was ohh so ready to download it as soon as it was released.

Maybe someone else will be up to the challenge of creating this ride & then we'll hopefully be able to add it to our parks sometime soon.

You know what would be a cool ride to create, A Parade. For GAm and Disney Parks and Stuff. That would be so cool. There are so many rides that people could create that sawyer won't bother doing, this thing could show some progress.
