Flying scooters at Camden Park

I agree. They have managed to add new rides every year for the past couple of years or so. They are also advertising a lot more.

I figure it will be a couple of years down the road before they invest in something large, like a new coaster. But in the meantime they are heading in the right direction. :-)

Their food seems to have improved as well, at least the pizza. :-) The West Viginia Grille has also improved from what I hear.

And ya gotta love those Pronto Pups. :-P

The park is truly a gem with a LOT of rare flats, in addition to the Dippers. I am glad to see that they are taking care of all of them.

I guess you're not the only one to take photos inside park bathrooms LOL... At least you're not in a Cedar Fair park.

LOL! I usually just take photos of anything that amuses me. The signs and the coin machines were no exception. :-) I was also amused by the THIS pic. It's not everyday you see a birdhouse in front of a restroom. ;-)

I didn't go into the Grille, but I wish I had. I still need to get a photo of the floating burgers, if they still have them. :-)

You guys just need to try them before you judge. :-)

Are you talking about the scooters or the toilets? :)

LOL Tina, you *know* I love pics of funny signs...still get a chuckle out of the Scandia signs re: childbirth and coaster-riding. (Hint: Much like food and swimming, you should wait at least an hour after delivering to ride Scandia Screamer).

I was going to go to Camden last weekend, but it was closed. I'm going to try to hit it up some time in July. The Scooters look like an excellent addition!
WRT the Whip building graphic...

The lion tamer is holding a pistol because that is standard issue for a lion tamer: chair, whip, and stage pistol.

(Got my answer: The pistol is loaded with blanks.)

^That's a good question, Dave. Now you have me wondering as well. :-)

So which parks have "snappable" scooters and what models are these?

And anyways, how do you "snap" them? I remember there being a tutorial somewhere once.

Quick idea: Fly out, dive in, flip fin out. When your tub stalls on the downward swing the ride will continue to rotate and you will slow down. When the tension in the cable whips you forward, lather, rinse repeat, and you'll be shaking the rig like a pro in no time!

And ya gotta love those Pronto Pups. :-P

I know this is off topic, but, I have never figured out the difference between Pronto Pups and Corn Dogs...is there any?

Pronto Pup is a brand name of a corn dog franchise and supplies.

Thanks for the clarification of the lion tamer graphic. Having never seen a lion tamer in person, I was unaware they waved a pistol around. I hope that graphic returns. It's those weird off-beat things that gives places like Camden their unique charm!

Speaking of funny sign pictures, my newest favorite is a shot I took recently of the now-defunct "Golgatha Fun Park" in Cave City, KY.
