We should put this ride with Steel dragon 2000 as a rollercoaster that is only interesting to look at.

Personally, I think they want to save on the maintenance budget...not that they spend much on it when it's open anyway. ;)
You're correct that the coaster's operations are quite limited but your reason is wrong. It has nothing to with claiming a count and everything to do with staffing and maintenance budgets.

Um....what the heck are you talking about. It (SD2K)kicks butt, and will likely reopen when all the safety stuff is worked out. There's nothing wrong with flashback operationally. Just SFMM. *** Edited 11/5/2004 11:38:26 PM UTC by Peabody***

I was relating Steel Dragon to Flashback in they both have not operated in just so long. We can't ride them so all we can do is just stare at them. Steel Dragon has not been open since August 2003 thats nearly 15 months! I don't believe it took that long to construct Steel Dragon so I think it's safe to say Steel Dragon is going through some serious issues.Perhaps due to the government. *** Edited 11/5/2004 11:40:28 PM UTC by GIGAFORCE01***

Besides being an eye sore, I personally don't mind the ride at all...when It's open, I'll take a couple cycles...
And yes, the ride is an eyesore. The paint is peeling and the ride is rusty.
I don't think the ride is open even when HH is closed. I believe its a budgeting issue, one of many at SFMM. I'm guessing its a last priority ride to open at the park.

It has a very loud "roar" like B&M coasters ...
You do know that it is an Intamin, correct?
I sorta wanted to ride it, even though it is a notorious headbanger, mainly 'cause I didn't get to when it was at SFOG as Z-force, and I'm pretty sure that it is only open in the winter because of the HH issues.
It was definitely running in February 2003. Believe it or not, all 15 coasters were running that day. :)

Around New Year's I'm planning to go to SFMM. Does anyone know if it'll be open around then?
I was at the park on January 1st and 2nd this year and it wasn't doing anything. Then again not many of the coasters were doing anything. I only got to ride 9 of the 16.

Ya...that's why I said "it has a very loud "roar" LIKE B&M coasters" and not something like "it's a B&M coaster so it has a loud roar" or "it has a loud roar like all other B&M's"..then again, when Walt and Claude left Intamin, they basically kept that design of track so it's similar...
