First S&S woodie.....

I don't think Grizzly at PGA is bad at all, I mean all it is is a coaster! A couple bad trims, it's kinda fast, yeah no possitive g's or negative g's, but it's doesn't just waner around quite that much, like say the Rock N Roller Coaster or Superman The Ride at SFH ( Vekoma Speggti Bowls) I have no idea what pain you guys are talking about, all it does is bounce up and down. I rode with my cousin who is tiny, and she thought it wasn't rough at all. But I would still LOVE to see some wooden love at my home park. All the other Paramount Park's have world class wood selections!

See THE ULTIMATE in Orlando TR'S! Right now in the TR fourm!

How about Busch Gardens Williamsburg? They don't have a wooden coaster. However, they do have all that room where the coaster formerly known as Drachen Fire stood. I think they could use another roller coaster.

If my *understanding* is correct....(pure conjecture on my part, with NO evidence either way).....I believe that the SFAW wooden coaster turned out to be none other than my "local" Cheetah!

kRaX's point about launched woodies is right on target....even if we DO see a "launched woodie", it's still AT LEAST five years' away at this point....IMO.

PGA's Grizzly is in fact a wooden coaster in that it does roll (sort of, more like bounces) on wooden tracks....but don't try to sell me on some argument that it should "count" as a woodie when I look at what the other parks in the chain are "sporting".....

and while S&S may not have any wooden coaster designers on staff right now, I have to believe that hiring Denise Dinn is a sign of things to come....and even though she wasn't responsible for designing the CCI coasters, I have to believe that she had SOME input as to the "thrill factor", etc......

She probably had a little, but not much. She just probably aproves of layouts and things. I don't see why you guys praise S&S for picking them up. Just a reason PKI won't get a CCI/S&S woodie. Because of Hypersonic.
