First Hypercoaster - CoasterBuzz

My first hyper was Manhattan Express. It's all been uphill since then. :)

I'll be the first to say Titan at SFoT. I was expecting to freak out because of the heights, but it didn't bother me at all. I loved it and drove 6 hours to LSCT 2001 just to ride it!

Mine would be the Phantom's Revenge. I would say the Steel Phantom, but that had loops in it.;)

My first hyper was S:ROS at Darien Lake, then Steel Force. I expected superman to thrill me, but ho-hum.

Mine was Magnum...I expected it to be one of the best rides of my life, but it turned out to be way too overrated. Millennium Force on the other hand though...:)

My first hypercoaster was Desperado. It was August of 1999. Desperado "kicked" me into becoming an enthusiast.

Such a good ride, located in the middle of the desert at that.

Millennium Force then came in 2000...
Raging Bull then came in 2001...

I was very excited to see Valleyfair was getting a new hyper in 1996 Wild Thing was my first hyper. Just cant get enough of Wild Thing at Valleyfair so far 100laps around it I have been keeping track.

Superman at SFNE, The first and the best. Ive also rode Titan.

Wild Thing was also my first hyper, in '96.
It was actually the first full-sized rollercoaster I ever rode. I was nine.

My first hyper came in 1996 on Magnum XL-200. It became my #1 coaster. Since then I've ridden the following hypers (chronological order):

It's interesting to note how much I enjoy hypercosters. For example, in 1996, Magnum was my #1. Then Raging Bull in 1999 was my #1. Then in 2000, Millennium Force was my #1. MF kept that title for a long time, and to my astonishment, after the ERT at Coaster Celebration at SFGAd on this past Saturday, Nitro has taken over my #1 coaster spot. I never thought I'd find something I liked more than MF, and I had even ridden Nitro earlier this year, and I still liked MF more. However, I rode MF and Nitro mere hours apart from each other this past weekend and came to the conclusion that yes, Nitro just packs everything I can possibly want into one coaster.

Yikes, sorry for rambling everyone, I just get all excited thinking of the wonderful time I had at SFGAd Saturday.

my first hyper was Apollos Chariot, last fall...im freakin hooked now man!! hypers are totally my favourite genre of coasters....since then ive been on S:ROS at SFA, and Nitro....and to this day, i still cant decide which one i like the most...they all rock...Apollo has the best airtime, SROS has the best first drop, and Nitro has a TERRIFYING ride at night...and that hammerhead is freakin awesome :)

Steel Dragon 2000

I was scared when I finally saw it up close; It's insanely big. But after my first ride, I was hooked. I rode 14 times, and then the park closed. I could have gone 100 more times. A few months after that I experienced MF and Magnum for my second and third hyper experiences.

Nitro at SFGAdv, then a week later S:RoS at SFNE.

Superman ROS took the cake! What a great ride from both of them, but Nitro wasn't as goood as Superman.
