My first coaster was the River King Mine Train at SFStL, and I was 5 years old. I really loved that ride. I moved onto bigger and better things a couple of years later though, when I first rode the Screamin' Eagle at SFStL. But that ride kind of scared me, so I didn't really ride again until 1997, when I rode the Raven, at Holiday World. That's the coaster that got me hooked, in case ya didn't see my name. ;)

My first coaster was the magnificent Mr. Twister at the original Elitch Gardens when I was seven. Its hard to enjoy a lot of the coasters because I started out on one of the best and that set the bar very high.
My first coaster was Rebel Yell at PKD when I was 15! Yeah, last year. First steel looper was Tennessee Tornado (Arrow is dead, long live Arrow!) at Dollywood.

Is it just me or does Hypersonic look like one of those coasters you would see on Looney Toons?
My experience seems to be opposite that of most enthusiasts'. I went on space mountain when I was very young -- I was borderline on height and they let me ride. It was one of the scariest and worst times of my life, and it put a fear of roller coasters in me all the way into college. I finally rode some "real" coasters and got hooked this past summer at SFGAm, after much prodding.
I first rode The Beastie at Paramount`s Kings Island when I was one and a hald years old. I even have a picture that proves it, Back then the Beastie had a yellow coat of paint.
First Coaster on US Soil, Thunder Mt Railroad @ DL, First Looper on US Soil, Montezoomas Revenge @ KBF! Last Coaster ridden on US Soil, Kraken @ SWF.
Next Coaster to ride on US Soil, X @ SFMM 2001!
My first big coaster was the Big Dipper at the park formally known as Six Flags Ohio, formally known as Geagua Lake, now known as Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. I don't remember how old I was, I may have been seven, but I got off and felt like throwing up!

My first coaster was the Soap Box Derby at Knotts Berry Farm. I was about 4 or 5 years old.
First coaster: Rolling Thunder, the old bobsled at SFGAm. I was about 5 when my mom made me ride. I was forced to ride. Now look at me--I can't get enough.
First non-bobsled: Whizzer at SFGAm later that same summer. Still a great ride. I didn't have to be forced to ride this one.
First looper: The Demon at--you guessed it--SFGAm. I first rode this when I was about 8. I still love this old girl, and ride it whenever I get a chance. One of Arrow's best.
