First B&M!!!

That's cool--my first B&M was Hulk too! I think I have been on 12 B & Ms now and each and everyone was wonderful :)

Hmm. I don't believe a coaster being a 'giga' would necessarily make it better than a coaster smaller than it, because of it's size. Size doesn't(always) matter. There's actually only one, maybe two hypers I would take after MF. Don't get me wrong here, the height and speed is nothing short of amazing, but in areas such as intensity, airtime, and various elements, it doesn't deliver in the ranks of Apollo, SROS, Raging Bull, or even Magnum to me. I mean, I go through the same element four times, which barely does anything for me as far as fun goes. After the overbanked turns, there's only about 4 other elements left. And all of those are fairly similar. But for what it is, I love it anyways!

Actually, I think wood would be a much better example.

By the way, by first B&M was Raptor. I think Alpengeist is my newest since I rode it after Apollo that day. They're all great!

Apollo's Chariot is a good ride. Very good. Raging Bull just doesn't match up to it though. I do have to say that Intamin Hypers/gigas are far and away superior to B&M's. Don't get me wrong though. B&M makes some awesome rides.

Nemesis is the greatest B&M - they sometimes have to close it when it rains because it is TOO intense!!!
My first B&M was Batman: The RIde at SFGAdv but i think it is better to go on coasters with low expectations so the ride feels alot better! But the Hulk as a first B&M will probably really make B&M seem alot beter *** This post was edited by Medusa1861 on 7/24/2001. ***
B&M makes a smooth ride, period. Whether they are the inverteds, the hypers, the floorless, or the standard sit-down like Kumba, B&M makes them all smooth. If the park maintains them properly, they'll stay that way for at LEAST ten years or more. Some say they are a little predictable in the order of elements, and that may be true to some degree. But, out of the GP, how many can ride and re-ride coasters with inversions from OTHER companies? (I don't think Intamin or Morgan make inverting coasters, please correct me if I'm wrong - and don't tell me MF inverts, I don't buy that).

My first B&M was BM:TR at SFoT, I followed it with Alpengeist and AC at BGW after moving to Williamsburg for this year. I have rode Apollo probably over 50 times this year and it is still a thrill everytime.
My first B&M was either the B:TR or Iron Wolf. I bet it was Iron Wolf, because it is easier to build up nerve for a ride when your on top of the track, well, for a 7 or 8 year old, anyways.

Intamin: Steel gifts from the gods.

SFMMFREAK85: LMAO!

My first B&M was Raptor, then Mantis, then BKF. I love them all but my fav. has to be either BKF or Raptor, I am not sure on which one though.

The stand-up Vortex was my first, unfortunately, IMO. It is a ride I skipped last time at PC. Wasn't it the first B&M?
My first B&M was Chang at SFKK. My first B&M inverted was Montu.
