We should of known if someone had cedar point as a home park they would put the other park down and make cedar point look better. It's like he would make a ride look bad and make CP's look good.
ex.
5) BATMAN: While in the queue, Batman looked very small. Raptor at Cedar Point looks like Batman on steriods, and that's kind of how the ride went. There was no cobra roll, but she did have two vertical loops. I'll take RAPTOR any day. Wait time: 30 minutes, Rating: 5 out of 10 stars
It seemed like the ride was about "Raptor" if we wanted to hear about it we would of asked you for a trip report from Cedar point. Look again
ex.
After going to SFMM, and other places, I really got a greater appreciation for how EXCELLENT CEDAR POINT is run, and how much CEDAR FAIR cares for their employees, and guests. It's no reason it's been number one for a long time, and Magic Mt is not even close for challenging it for that distinction...
thats just putting MM down to CP right there and thats not right you should of gave the park a better chance by riding more coasters instead of comparing.
That's right...I flew 3,000 away from my house in Detroit just to go to SFMM, so I could slam them on purpose. Do you have ANY idea how stupid this conspiracy sounds? I went to LA on purpose to go to Magic Mt., and I did not like as much as I had hoped. End of story.
Jeff, can you do me a favor, and please close this thread..it's more hastle than it's worth. Sorry for wasting the bandwith.

Sounds like a confession to me. Just kidding. We can sit here all day and debate on which park has the most intense coasters, or put someone down..olypic10086..for his bad opinion..come on you know the sang..If ifs and buts were like candy and nuts then........how does the rest of that go again?
However, others also have opinions that may differ from yours. And we/they will like to discuss those differences. That's what these forums are for. Remember? ;-) Chill bro, it's ok.
A couple commented on how CP is better than SFMM, and I won't deny that they win on flats (even if they run some of theirs slow as snails), but in the coaster comparison, I give the edge to SFMM becaue they have more outstanding coasters than CP. CP had 3 coasters that I really enjoyed riding (MF, Wicked Twister, and Blue Streak. Gemini might have been here if they'd actually been dueling it). SFMM has 6 (X, Goliath, Viper, Riddler's, Batman, and Deja Vu). By my count they both have 2 heaps that could be scrapped (Mantis & Mean Streak vs. Psyclone and Flashback), which still leaves a lot more mediocrity at CP.
And I put Raptor in the mediocre range just cause of that killer knockout shot to the head it gives going into the brakes.
I'm still wondering bout that litter bit, cause I've never seen that at SFMM, and CP was about the same on my 2 visits. Staffing I would also put the same, though at least SFMM doesn't do the stupid "dont' cross the yellow line" and irritating op blabbing on headsets that CP does.
Oh, and I won't start on the screwjob that CP park ops gave me last Oct. But I didn't let that jade me on my last vist.
Honestly, I would call the parks even. They both have their plusses and minuses, their standout parts and the things that they can improve. But it never ceases to amaze me how many "enthusiasts" out there can't seem to stop from worshiping CP to the point where they can't admit it's faults.
Not saying you did that in your TR. I'm just sayin.....

...Dont give in to those MagicMountain fanatics.
Oh please....can't we all just be coaster enthusiasts instead of "Magic Mtn. Fanatics" or "CP Fantatics", etc....? What is going on here?!?! It's cool to support your own park but don't bash other parks especially the people who consider them their home parks.

You make think these coasters are outstaning. Hmmm, let's see where they ranked on MH poll.
X-n/a, Goliath-36,Viper-101,RRv-48,BTR-30,Deja Vu-52.Not so good numbers there. Anyways, Sir Willow, you sound so bitter in your visits to CP. And you have the nerve to say Olympic10086 TRand feelings was biased...But wouldnt surprise me if you are just making things up.

X-n/a, Goliath-36,Viper-101,RRv-48,BTR-30,Deja Vu-52......My response.....I know that im late but what is the MH poll? Can someone help me out. Here is my last 2 cents on this topic before I leave. Of course he has the right to say what he wants to say about the park, but he better be ready for the feed back when he says this stuff.1) REVOLUTION: A terrible, slow, head-banger of a ride.THE RIDDLER'S REVENGE: A true B/M classic! This three minute long beauty, is not even in the same class as Mantis. BATMAN: While in the queue, Batman looked very small. Raptor at Cedar Point looks like Batman on steriods.GOLIATH: The four of used Fast Lane for this ride, and in my opinion, it was a waste.
Overall Magic Mt Notes:
I found the park overall to be disappointing. It was dirty, messy, and reminded me of a fair setting, not of an amusement park. We all had headaches after Superman and went to First Aid to get some Tylenol......... My response....whatever...SteelRaptor signing off in 5...4...3...2...1....

Ride the New England Bush!
Cedar Point will always be better IMO just because of it's location. Not even bringing the rides into it.
In order to enjoy Raptor, you just have to ride it, don't disect which parts of the ride are good or not. It's there to have fun. If you don't want to bang your head at the end, then just put your head forward out of the restraint, easy as that. No biggy.

How could I wait 4.5 hours? Well, if you would have read the entire thread, you would have realized that I live in Detroit, some 3,000 miles away from SFMM. I was not going to visit MM anytime soon after this trip, and really wanted to go on X. I waited even longer back in Mayof 2000, when Millie Force opened, and just like then, it was worth the wait...

Opinions are opinions, but B:TR is hands down the most intense invert/roller coaster of them all. Sorry you had a bad time at SFMM. Don't give up on the park just yet.
Have you ever ridden Fire Dragon at IOA? That is my favorite inverted coaster (even over Raptor, which comes in a close second) but it is by far the most intense inverted coaster I have ever ridden. It is far more intense than B:TR.
-----------------
As a matter of fact I have ridden both Fire and Ice.. I prefer Ice over Fire, but both are high up there in my opinion. I noticed far more dead spots on both Dragons than on Batman, in which there is none. B&M simply throws their inversions and tight helices into a small amount of trackags, and they are all taken at high speeds. The Dueling aspect adds a LOT to DD. Alas, in the end it all comes down to one's opinion.
