Just kidding.
Cedar Point will announce it when they're ready. Why are they waiting so long? Well, they probably wanted to wait until the off-season to make sure people still came to the park. Now that they've waited this long, why not wait until after (or perhaps during?) IAAPA.
Yes, the anticipation is getting to all of us. I just want to know the darn NAME already. It will come...

Only when CP does something like that, you can get impatient lol. Even then being impatient really gets you now where, b/c it's not like the parks are going to doing anything more, or faster for you just b/c you can't wait.
Like already stated these parks owe us nothing, so just sit back relax and hopefully the announcement and X will come soon lol.

I don't think most people appreciate what it takes to launch a new product (at least, how to do it right). You've got to deal with concept art, stills, animation, logos, letterhead and envelopes need to be printed, satellite time needs to be booked (in the case of MF, anyway), the staff can't be on vacation or out of town (IAAPA) so they can take media calls... there are a hundred things that go on that most people don't know about.
Cut 'em some slack, eh?

Cedar Point just finished a season, and a few people know they're already building something for next season. More to the point, lots of people EXPECT them to build something for next season.
But you know something? Announcing right now wouldn't accomplish much. Think about it: What is the purpose of a winter announcement, anyway? That's right, it's to spur season pass sales. And wouldn't it be just perfect to announce an exciting new ride just as everyone tries to decide what would make a perfect Christmas present for his favorite roller coaster nut?
I say, expect an announcement just in time for the holiday season pass sales blitz. Announcing right now won't give them the exact sales bump they want. Remember, it's marketing. Timing is extremely important!

The complaining is pointless, but it's done by people who don't understand the idea of rounding out your attractions to serve the broadest audience possible.
