Actually the Vekoma SLC's swing a little, but not much to feel, same as Intamin, he calls it suspended. O Volcano if you look at the square tube holding the it moves a little on the turns. They aren't called suspended for nothing. It kinda named like that because of the B&M invert patent, but a floorless coaster would seem more like a suitable name for other companies. They should have used the name before B&M got it.
Iron Dragon is the BEST! :)

The only one I've been on is the Iron Dragon, and I loved that.
#1 - Big Bad Wolf
#2 - Ninja
#3 - Top Gun
#4 - Iron Dragon
#5 - XLR-8
I've been on the Bat at PKI but don't quite remember it well (I was only 10 or 11 at the time).
I like Big Bad Wolf the best because of its location in the park, the wooded terrain, the near miss of the buildings, flying through the arch, and best of all, that wonderful drop off the second lift to the river below.
Top Gun comes in second because of its speed but with its location, should have been much longer. PKI had the opportunity to build something better than the PCW clone (Vortex), but didn't realize the potential.

I was only on the BBW so I guess its my favorite for now. The only thing I dislike is the lift in the middle of the ride. The drop over the Rhine River is superb with the sharp turn to the left at the bottom then turn to the right and up the hill to the brakes "WOW!" 8^O thump thump (Heart pounding sound)

Parks hit for 2000!
PKD,BGW,Knoebles,Dorney,Hershey
The Bat, by far, was the most thrilling. Too bad, it's gone, I really miss it! My bladder felt like it came through my hips on the turns.
Active: it's a toss up. I really like the the drops into the trees and turns on Big Bad Wolf, but I also love the close calls on Ninja at SFMM. Both are really good. Iron Dragon...yawn...is good, but not nearly the thrills of the other two. I guess we are taking these for granted because so many coasters are bigger and better than the suspended.

There's nothing like a woodie...
SFMM Ninja. I've only been on 3. The next two are PCW Vortex and then CP Iron Dragon. ID does have a cool name. It's VERY appropraite! Even the trains movements seem to mimic the movements of a dragon. Not to mention the area it's in is perfect, or was perfect. :)

I have only been on one, Iron Dragon. I actually had a good time on this ride! I liked going through the mist and over the lagoon.
It's not "Dragon Iron", it's "Iron Dragon"!
Jeff, so which company's hanging coaster opened first B&M's or Vekoma's? SFKK says that T2 was the first suspended looping coaster, and SFGAm says that Batman: the Ride was the first inverted coaster. So which company had the first hanging looping coaster?

I just recently went to PKI again for the first time in like 8 years. On the visit 8 years ago, I rode Top Gun and remember just being completely underwhelmed by it - at that time the lines took up every bit of that mile and a half queue area (meaning an hour and a half wait), and then the ride was so short.
But on this recent visit I had a much better experience. Riding Top Gun in the front seat in the dark is just really cool - I think I enjoyed that coaster the most of any I rode that weekend (no, SOB wasn't open!).
The only other suspended I've ridden is BBW - I liked it, but don't remember being extremely excited by it. However, I didn't ride in the front. I suspect that as with inverted coasters, the ride on a suspended coaster is always better in the front.
Hmmm... haven't had a chance to ride Top Gun in the dark. I'm looking forward to BBW next month.
Beastmaster: I'm not sure which was first, but I'm sure the dates are listed in the coaster section of this site.

Thanks, ShiveringTim. I guess that T2 was Vekoma's first SLC in America or the world.

It's all about the X Baby:]
My Home park Only Has ALooping Coaster
I have only ridden on three Suspended coasters before. Big Bad Wolf at BGW, Top Gun at PKI, and Iron Wolf at CP. Iron Wolf was slow dull and very boring IMO. I thought Big Bad Wolf was also a pathetic ride that was very slow and had no excitement. The only good part was the drop over the lake but even that drop was not too big at all. I liked Top Gun the best at PKI because it had a nice drop, many sharp turns that put many g's on my face was was just a really great ride IMO. Especially with the very short lines, Top Gun is my pick.

Wow! Someone brushed off the dust of this one.
I would go with the wolf and its near misses with the bavarian village first then
2. Vortex at Canada's Wonderland
3. Top Gun at PKI
4. Iron Dragon at CP
If Top Gun was longer it would be higher in my list.
If only Top Gun was longer it would be my #1, but the theming to BBW and the atmosphere really pushes it up to #1. Iron Dragon is just too sad to mention, but it was fun in a family coaster sort of way. I can't wait to ride BBW again in June. I hope PKI will consider my TG request. They continue improvement and I think the extension(hopefully at least 500-1000 feet) of the ride will push PKI to the top. One can hope and dream. :)

PKI-Wooden and Kiddie Coaster Capital of the World!
The First and Only Gigabuzzer bigger than Millie, rising Faster than Maggie, and pulls more BS than MS ever will!!!
You are the Weakest Link! Goodbye!!!
I love suspended coasters! (except Iron Dragon :))
My favorite is Top Gun. It's absolutely amazing at night! Seems twice as fast and twice as intense. I love Ninja, but the ending it a total let down. Other than that, Ninja rocks! I love that dive under Jet Scream's lifthill and the helix that nearly skims the water below.
