Favorite Non-Coaster Ride

Beast: as your swinging back and forth, do you rotate like a round-up?
Yes to both, swings like pirate ship, up to horizontal. Rotates like round-up, but not as fast. The ride has seats with shoulder harnesses.
BEAST - I also rode this a couple of weeks ago. I do not normally waste time riding non-coasters, but this one was so unusual I had to try it. The Huss Frisbee is quite good. Dare I say, one of the best non-coaster type rides I have ever ridden.

2Hostyl - Imagine a swinging ship ride. Now instead of a ship, attach a large disk. The disk is level just like the ship would be. However the seats are at the edge of the disk and they face inward. The disk rotates one direction for a while then switches direction several times during the ride. All this goes on while the large arm wings back and forth. The arm swings fairly high, but never takes the riders upside down. Excellent ride, highly recommended.
BEAST, backseat: Thanks for the info. That sounds like one of those ride I would try ONCE, but maybe not ever again. One other crazy ride I got on was a "roto-shake". This is kinda like a "Looping Starship type ride, but all the seats face forward during the ride. Also the pod where you are seated flips both forward and backwards. So there are times when the pod is uside-down as the entire ride swings through a 360 circle. If you know anything a about centerfuges, then you can imagine all the blood rushing to you head. I almost rededd-out. That was one ride that I couldnt wait to end! (all in all it was fun, not sure I'd ride it again, but fun nevertheless)
i would have to say pirat ride(defunct)at cp and the calypso type ride called the crazy dance.
i would say a huss flyaway {i got onm it a the expo}and a scrambler
I love the Chaos at CP. A lot of fun. Another one is the Kangaroo at KW. A different kind of ride, but it is great espescially with someone who has never experienced it before!
I forgot my all time favorite- The Roll-o-Planes at Kennywood!

Nothing beats the 'bolt
I gotta go with the Flyers (Flying Scooters) at Knoebels. At PKI they are the Flying Eagles. The ones at PKI are nothing compared to the ones at Knoebels. The Flyers are run twice as fast as any ones I've ridden. If you move the wing at the right time you get slack in one of the cables and when you get to the highest part the slack comes out and makes the car bounce. Somtimes I even scare myself on them. On a good flight you can actually get the car even with the top of the arm the cables are hooked to. They are a MUST DO at Knoebels.

Oh where do I start! (In no order)
1. Power Tower (down), CP
2. Chaos, CP
3. Zipper, Carney Ride
4. Gravitron, Carney Ride
5. Looping Starship, PCW
6. Indiana Jones, Disneyland
7. Countdown to Extinction, Animal Kingdom
8. Any Carney ride that inverts. (except high roller, too much banging)

I HATE:
1. Monster/Octopus Type rides! (I hate waiting to get off)
2. Ferris Wheel (waste-o-time)
3. Himalaya (I almost lost a leg on one of those things)

You may have almost lost a leg but a 15 year old girl lost her life in Texas on that ride (Himalaya).
OK I am going back a few years but my favs have always been the round ups and paratoopers.
My favorite non-coaster ride has to be Back to the Future. But that should change once I visit IOA.
I just went to a carnival today and those rides are really fun but they leave you feeling pretty crummy afterwards. My head hurts. I have to add some more rides to my list now:
1. Ring of Fire
2. Evolution (this thing is freaky!)

Rockdown - I didn't think anybody else had ever ridden the high roller! That ride is terrible! It is just one big excuse for a headache!

We are the ones who wait in line for hours for a 45-second thrill, and consider it time well spent.
Big Shot or Power Tower

right about now you are about to be possesed by the sounds of DJ MFORCE
Package2001 - No kidding. When I rode it, I couldn't believe that the cars were just supposed to bang into each other like that. I haven't seen that ride in years, and I can't say I miss it either. Whoever invented that ride is an idoit. I'm betting it's super high maintenance too.

Topspin at The Pavilion in Myrtle Beach, along with their other fine collection on non-coaster rides. Drop Zone is awesome but the line is too long.
My favorite would have to be Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Power Tower, Drop Zone, and Twister (at USF) are all very fun, too.
Power Tower at CP (The TURBO DROPS!)
