PCW: Why do you think that one can only notice dead spots after like 50 rides? I noticed the dead spot on ICE during my first ride when I swore I was on Raptor.
BTW: I think I rode Ice three times and Fire four or five.

"My favorite was Fire. Here's why, that second hill where the ice train rolls under you is awesome. I remember looking down and seeing the train roll, then I saw everybody’s feet fly by, I actually brought my legs up, thought for sure we were going to hit feet."
Exactly what i think. Fire beats Ice by a hair.

I enjoy fire because it is more intense with the loop at the bottom of the first hill. However, Ice is still pretty good too.
Meesa like Ice Dragon. That castle wall encounter and the sweeping first drop really do it for me.
Uh.........that would be Steel Dragon 2000.
Heh :)

"Fire is still good, don't get me wrong. The thing that makes me like Ice better is the drop with the trun, and the close call with the castle wall."
Heh, both Fire and Ice have the same drops. If you ask me, I prefer Fire because of the airtime ;). I believe Ice has better feet choppers, but Fire offered a better ride, IMHO.

There not really the same drop. Fire's drop goes into posivtive G's at the bottom of the drop and into the Immenlan. Ice's drop goes in a 360 degree circle and drops you back down and into the "zero-g-roll."

Sure as heck isn't Iron Dragon @ CP !
I know CP "isn't in the business of tearing down coasters", but if they ever do, that would be my first candidate. At least Mean Streak could be fixed.
(I haven't been lucky enough to ride Dueling Dragons)

i thought both were a let down too, same with IH. But I preferred fire dragon. I honestly think B&M could have done a much much better job.

Sorry, but it just feels like Fire is much faster than Ice, even though the cobra roll near-miss is pretty phat. I also approve of Fire's airtime...mad B&M props.

Yeah, definatly Fire beats Ice, it's way more Intense IMO, and airtime on an invert can't be bad... ;) That last 'screw reminds me so much of my beloved Top Gun: The Jet Coaster at Carowinds, both are really intense.
I like the airtime on Fire - I gotta agree with those who say air on Inverts is always COOL! Ice is a little more disorienting, and I liked it better at first, but Fire has won me over gradually (also, the line's usually just a little shorter)!
That's true with the last corkscrew on Fire, which I like. I don't like the ending of Ice because it just turns into the brake run. But I still like Ice better.

My favorite Dragon would have to be the Iron one at Cedar Point. :) Since I haven't been down to IOA.

Your best? Losers are always whining about doing their best...winners go home and ******* the prom queen.
SFlake: i rode dr dooms at least 30 times, hulk like 15 times, spiderman 3 times, and pretty much every other ride in the park at least once. i even rode petran flyers(spelling??) and flying unicorn(for the count) i just rode DD more then any other ride, thats all.
when i went down i went to IOA 5 times. plus i went during the mornings at like 7am when like 500 people are in the park.
2hostyl:i said like 5 times each. and i feel you dont really notice alot of dead spots in the first few runs. except ice is totally noticeable on the first run, but people dont worry about them until like there 5th or 6th ride. there still shocked at how good the good parts are not how bad the bad parts are.

1.Fire Dragon, 2.Ice Dragon, 3.Raptor, 4.Kraken, 5.Batman Knight Flight
I enjoyed Fire a little bit more. I thought the better pacing, and the airtime was awesome. Also, the immelman into the helix on Fire is incredible. I thought Ice provided more positive Gs, and had great visuals, but just wasn't quite as good in my opinion.
A little off topic: I don't know why people think Raptor has poor pacing. I think Raptor has the best pacing of any invert I've ridden. It's also my favorite invert.
