Also with this news of Astroworld I may look into visiting during the weekend of October 15th.
"Would you like to buy a photo of you boys enjoying the Line Ride?"
I'll probably hit Hersheypark and Dorney for their Halloween events. Maybe, just maybe, Kennywood and Idlewild again-- but only because when I got my film developed from my trip last month there was a note on that roll saying the frames were unprintable. The bastards. (APS=APOS) Kodak offered to try developing it if I'd send it to them, if they couldn't, they'll give me a refund. Think they'd throw in a trip to Pittsburgh too? Nahhhhhhhhh.
To compensate for the larger attendence the park has added flats to the ERT line-up but some lines, especially Phoenix, Haunted Mansion, High Speed Thrill Coaster, Dodgems, and the Haunted Antique Car Ride can get pretty long.
Thankfully with an awesome crew and amazing capacity even when Phoenix's line stretches all the way across the plaza and down the path to where Whirlwind once was its only a 15 min wait -- don't let the look of that line fool you.
The Haunted Car Ride? Well that's a slow mover and can take 45-60 mins. But the stunts and scareactors are good and its worth waiting for. And you can't skip the best Haunted Mansion ride and Dodgems running today!
HSTC? Yeah, its a kiddie steelie but it ain't run like one! But you can get this before ERT and still have fun.

Information about the event is up on the Knoebel's website. The ride lineup throughout the evening is pretty good, plus I'm sure that the Looper will be running for part of the night as well. Who's ready to flip? Or should I say phlip? :)

PPP is the only thing my gf and I have planned for the remainder of the season, but I keep trying to find somewhere else to go cheap.
Sweet! You guys doing Kennywood the night before? If so let me know. :-)
Dexter, like Moosh said you don't have to be in any club (I don't remember being *carded* anyway...lol) so you and your friends should be fine.
You will LOVE PPP. :-P I look forward to meeting you!
I have only been to one PPP, and even though it *seems* crowded the wait times for Phoenix and Twister and whatever else is open is not that bad. It's a nice crowd. I don't remember waiting anymore than 15-20 minutes for Phoenix at least, even during nightime ERT.

The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch
Is the crowd at PPP small enough to easily be able to just run in to fellow Coasterbuzzers I want to meet, or is it so large that I will need to wear a big sign that points me out? What is the secret handshake, if any?
Just look for Skeletor, if I do indeed wear a costume. :)
I AM THAT I AM.
I AM NASAI.

Come October 6 or 7, I'll figure out how you can tell who I am. Maybe I'll wear my Idlewild T. It's a nice rust color, rather autumnal really. Or else I'll just splash some Yuengling behind my ears.
...Maybe I'll just be plain ol' Travis, complete with a black T-shirt and bluejeans.
I SO wish they sold that in WV. I am tired of *smuggling* a few cases back whenever I visit PA.
I don't plan on wearing a costume, and I don't usually wear any *enthusiast* garb unless it's one of the only 4 or 5 park/coaster shirts I own. I will probably be wearing in a hoodie, or my gray fleece sweater, depending on the weather. Last year it was pretty warm during the day.
Just look for the hot (LOL!) brunette making an ass out of herself on DDR or trying to snap on the flyers. ;-)
Dexter,
The crowds are not too bad. Like I said I don't remember waiting more than 15 minutes for Phoenix during nightime ERT. It gets pretty crowded during the day at some points with all the festivities going on, Otherwise it's pretty laid back.
The only gripe I have is the traffic. YIKES!

I'm in for PPP, bringing a tent, if I can't find a camp site I'm sleeping in the car.
The wifey will be at a hair show in Columbus, I'm sure it's fun for her. Heh.

I won't be at PPP, but if I went, I'd wear a HUGE shirt saying:I AM THAT I AM.
I AM NASAI.
...and nothing else! LOL!
Dabbling Yuengling behind your ears is a SUREFIRE way to meet up with Tina... ;)
