Extreme Rides adds aerial pictures of Nemesis Inferno

Posted | Contributed by coasterrich

Extreme Rides has been updated with a huge batch of Inferno pics showing off the completed steelwork, including a batch of pictures taken from the top of the tower ride and Colossus.

With a train on site, the lift hill motor and chain in place, all that is left is the wiring of the control systems before the ride can test.

Show me the photos!

Wow... interlocked corkscrews look crazy on an inverter, since the track is at the opposite end of your body compared to, say, a floorless.

Anyone who thinks B&M has fallen into a rut should check out these photos. The interlocking corks look awesome, and the back-to-back helices look even better.

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

how long until they start testing the coaster?

I said right along that figure eight looks incredible.

Some smaller US park must get something along the lines of this.

We need more of these interesting layouts like Great BEar.

So, who's up for a trip to the UK?

-----------------
Art, Art, Art, everyone wants it, some need it, most don't want to pay for it.

That low turn between the heartline and the first corkscrew is going to be nuts.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

testing starts just before xmas. cosign are on site this week and themeing is due to continue until late march!
Those are some sweeeet photos. That entire RIDE is gonna be nuts! The theming looks like it's gonna be top-notch aswell!
Why did all the pictures look so grainy and dark? I'm not trying to be picky, but I couldn't make out what was worth clicking on or not. And all the pictures look like that on the site. If these pics were taken by a digital camera, it gives me more reason to hang onto my recently purchased analog camera.
the most recent pics were taken during a day of VERY bad weather, so that would account for the latest pics. maybe adjusting the brightness settings on your monitor would help

One of my favorite elements on Raptor is that kick out before the drop, and that element on this new one looks even more awesome. Hopefully a friend of mine will be going back for another 18 month stint in London with his job. If so, I am SO there. Too many cool coasters in Britain to pass up.

Great pics! No quality problems here, either.

Coaster & Amusement Park Christmas cards, clothing, gifts, and stocking suffers, now available here.

Testing will probably take place after Christmas in January or February, thats what happened with Colossus, so I presume it will be the same for Nemesis Inferno.
I also agree with Jeff that those Duelling Corks look pretty awesome, it should be pretty good to experience that on a invert so i cant wait, also that turn after the inline is just gonna be insane.
No dought I will be at the park for opening day and I cant WAIT, oh and if anyone is interested Thorpe have confirmed they are re-opening April 5th 2003, so thats the opening day if all goes according to plan of course

but Nemesis Inferno is finished earlier than colossus was so hopefully we should see testing sooner!

plus - i'm gonna be there on opening day, anyone else?

I doubt it. Visiting the park yesturday I think they will atleast finish all of the Volcano theming as it wraps very tightly around the track so they will have to get that sorted out. Also there are A LOT of clearence issues between the ground which means there will have to be a lot of landscaping to be sorted out. I also noticed how close the ride sweeps past their tower ride, Detonator, whether it is too close I don't know . They will also have to remove part of this queue I think.

Anyway regardless of this it looks amazing in person. I'm sure it will be a short ride but it will deliver as the layout looks crazy very intense! Roll on April 5th.

A visit will be underway to thorpe park.....when im old enough, and when i can afford it.

-Why a car if i could have a coaster train on wheels??

im gonna be there opening day armed with my season pass!
It would appear to be a monitor problem, which we changed out everyone today in my Microsoft Office 2000 training course (thank you Aberdeen Proving Ground for the donation). On my Apple G4 at home with a ViewSonic 17" monitor, the pictures look great. Sorry.
