Expected Opening Day for Steel Vengeance

Germanator- Not only will Steel Vengeance not open late, it’s an early-entry ride this year.

But then again, what do I know?

Well we have reached the one month mark for when the first public riders are supposed to ride. Will they meet the deadline? Weather in Sandusky hasn't been looking too great.

You really think anyone can predict Ohio weather a month in advance?

Seriously, we can’t even get it right within the hour..

Pretty sure it comes with a money back guarantee....

Pretty sure he meant he was concerned about testing running behind schedule due to the recent weather, not that the weather forecast doesn't look good for opening day.

Yeah, weather on opening day is quite irrelevant. Right now Sandusky is cold and rainy, and I don't know RMC's threshold for rides running in the cold. But I would imagine that temps in the 30's and 40's may prevent testing from occurring as planned.

According to this site, the average high temp in Sandusky in March is 44. And the average low is 31.

So temps in the 30s and 40s should be expected in March. Average highs in April are 57 and lows are 41.

Not to worry. A month from today some of us will be writing about something else.

Good Lord willin’ and the lake don’t rise...
