Atari announced yesterday that the first expansion for the strategy game RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will ship this June for the PC. The expansion will be titled RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked! and is being developed by British studio Frontier Developments, the team behind RCT3.

As for my processor having limits, I haven't seen any limits in any other game other than RCT3. With Doom3 running timedemo at 1600x1200 with 4x anti aliasing on, I get 90+ FPS.
If you want to see what I am talking about for RCT performance, take a look at this thread...
It's not my configuration that sucks, it's the coding of RCT3. I don't know wTF they did but if it cripples a high end system like mine with a detailed park loaded, there's something majorly wrong. Now note, the small parks in the scenarios run "fine", but with Gonch's mega parks, I can count the FPS. (BTW, his largest sandbox park is only 1/4 of the maximum that RCT3 has for square footage.)
Have you tried Patch #2 yet? It did wonders for my system. If you haven't tried that yet, you should. Also before everyone bashes the expansion, how about we see what they do with it first this time? They are actually having a Betatest of the product (gasp!) this time around.
So I have high hopes for it. I think the testing will help, the game will obvisouly have large parts of it rewritten to accomodate the waterslides and pools so there is room in there for improved performace changes as well. Not to mention how good the light rays underwater and the waterfalls look. And parachutes people...parachutes! :) I've been waiting for that ride since the very first RCT.
Yes they blew it the first time around with the premature RCT3 release. But that doesn't mean the second time around will be the same. I'm at least willing to keep an open mind at this point.
And I agree with a redman. The game auto-set my computer to the highest settings possible, but it still lags. And I have the video card and memory to handle it. (Radeon 9800Pro and 768MB RAM)
