Vortex @PKI it rained fo 2 hours. It went faster than usual.
Montu, it only poured for like 5 min though, so i only rode it 3/23 in the rain :)

American Eagle in the back, in a downpour AND they were racing the trains :) That was the best time I have ever been on that ride. I love it :)
Montu, front seat, is heavy rain. AWESOME!

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
At PKI I rode Face/Off in the front seat during a rain/hail storm. The operators asked me and my friend to tell them if it hurt when the ride was over. It hurt like hell, but not as much as riding The Beast in an absolute downpour. I think my face and arms were totally red after that. Oh well, it was still a blast.
Yeah. V2 is pure pleasure in the rain. Especially in the front row. I know, because I waited in line for 2.5 hours for it (while the ride was closed. People were getting out of line, making it shorter) with a t-shirt, shorts and sandals on. Great fun.
Also picked up a nasty cold.

I also rode Mean Streak in the pouring rain. I think it was 1994, and it was still pretty smooth. The train was FLYING through the course. While the rain hurt a bit, it was the best ride I've had on MS.
Jman
ive been in a down pour on raptor, and ive also been in a downpour on SOB.

"Welcome back Raptor riders. How was your flight?"
Several years ago was on the Screamin Eagle at sfstl and it started raining just as the train dispatched. But just as we crested the lift hill it began to hail. Small, maybe pea size but at 62 mph any kind of hail hurts. we ducked and covered our heads, but we were red, sore and had some bruises by the time we returned to the station. ouch. Also rode the jet scream many time in light rain. It kinda stung, by we were teenagers then, and had not developed enough brain cells to stop doing something that we knew would hurt! :)

coaster freaks unite-conquer them all
On On May 26 i was at PKD in a down pour and i road Hypersonic XLC,Volcano,Anaconda and all the outer coaster in the rain
I rode Blue Streak at night in a downpour, the rain felt like hail against my face, it was a bit painful but one of the greatest coaster experiences of my life.
A wet Beast is a FAST Beast. Rainy nights are the best time to be in a park, no lines, fast rides.......
2 advisable pieces of equipment for that.....raincoat and some goggles.
MF's braking system is more than the magnets as the friction wheels get slippery when wet. The magnets can only allow the train to move if it is moving, the wheels serve to keep it moving and eventually stop it. If the wheels can't grab the train then it will stop.

"ok everyone go ahead and pull down on your shoulder restraint so you feel nice and stuck!"
Rode both X-Flight and S:UE (front seat even) in a pretty steady rain. In both cases I had rain aimed directly at my face. Not my usual idea of fun, but definitely interesting..

--Thank you for riding out loud!
Batman Knight Flight kills in a downpour!! Front seat, it is like no mercy. The car is open because it is a floorless, so it is like you are just dropped on all the rain in the loop and corkscrews. The front seat is the worst, but like every coaster, the pain pays off.

Spread your wings and fly away!! X-Flight '01
These experiences sound really good compared to mine. I went on Oblivion in Hail - going up the lift hill was so painful, but then going down was very painful too - you overtook the falling hail so it was smashing into you. All day was bad weather but that was alright cos they gave us free tickets for another day.
I rode the Racer at PKI one day when it was raining really hard. I went backwards the first time and the rain was hitting my arms (which were up) like thousands of needles. Then, like the idiot I am, I decided to ride forwards and then got stung by the rain in my face.
