I agree. My wife and I stopped at Lakemont last May after a trip to Kennywood. We rode Leap-the-dips because of its "historical significance"... and I do not believe I ever laughed so hard on a coaster in my life. Same with Skyliner. Talk about an under-rated little gem of a coaster.
Two others that took me by surprise. Knoebels Pheonix. I looked at it and thought "hmmmm, looks kind of small." But what a ride! Busch Gardens Tampa's Scorpion. Got in line to ride it becuase it was a coaster and you know you just have to ride it... but I wasn't expecting such a fun ride. Some of those helices are wicked!
Another suprise I had in Fla was Dueling Dragons. I had high expectations for this coaster, and I was surprised how let down I was by what seemed liek a mediocre ride at best.
