Ever Blacked Out?

Have any of you ever blacked out on a roller Coaster? I've heard people used to all the time on viper at SFMM, until they slowed it down (the dirty bastards!!) I never have, but me and Jenny (my patient wife) have both come close in the "centrifuge" on Goliath. What about you??

I got tunnel vision on Goliath but did not blackout.

Get wrapped in the coils of Viper at SFGAm.
I almost blacked out on two night rides on Millennium Force's first overbanked turn during Millennium Mania.

It was an odd sensation as that has never happened to me before on a coaster.
Shockwave at SFGAm...it's a beast! First time and only time I've blacked out on it this summer, in-between the first and second loops...everything went black and I panicked. It was very odd.

The second loop on Canyon Blaster in Vegas makes me grey out for a second
I did for a few seconds on Shockwave at Six Flags Over Texas.

Glitch, the same exact thing happened to me!!! Between the 1st and second loops. Only time i ever blacked out. I was reeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllyyy hungry if that had anything to do with it. But that is sooo weird, I was on shockwave so many times before, and then boom, i blackouted, weird.

The second loop on the Lazer gives me the fuzzy vision every time. The efect is done buy the time I get off though.

I have occasionally nearly blacked out during the 3rd loop. I have also talked to other enthusiasts who have also had this experience.
I went and looked at some pictures of this ride on rcdb, and I can't help but think it looks alot like a slightly smaller version of Viper at SFMM, only with different paint. That makes me wonder; if what I heard about Viper was true, people are also blacking out on that ride, and that ride is also at a Six Flags park, how long will it be before they try to slow it down? Hmmmm...maybe I'm thinking too much...

I don't see how you guys could black out. The only way I could see it happening is if you hit your head really hard against the harness(I can see that happening on Shockwave).

It's got nothing to do with hitting your head. It's caused by the G forces pushing all the blood out of your head, and down to your toes! Everyone is different, however; maybe your circulation is better then ours.

I have "grayed-out" several times on the first loop of Mantis, that is, I did before CP added trims to the first drop. I have never ridden these, but I hear that Shockwave at SFOT and Mindbender in West Edmenton Mall are notorious for making riders black out. Gotta love Schwarzkopf and his circular loops!!

Coasters...the best natural buzz available.
The closest I've come was on Two Face: The Flip Side @ SFA. It happened right as we went through the station and up into the cobra roll. If you are unfamiliar with Invertigo's, half of the riders do it forwards first and the other half backwards. I did it backwards first. On the return (forward) trip, I could tell I was graying out in the middle of the cobra roll.

Is it just me or does Hypersonic look like one of those coasters you would see on Looney Toons?
Is blacking out fun or is it scary? It sounds scary but I would like it to happen to me.

nope never happened to me but when I got off of MF-my legs felt very weird it must have been the g-forces pushing the blood down from my head like goliath rocks said but I never black or gray out
Its kind of both. To me, it was scary when I was on the ride but once I got off and thought about it it was fun.

SFGA2001, it's really kind of funny. You sorta only notice it after the G's stop. You think back as you pull out of an element and realize.. "Whoa, I must have been starting to black out". I personally enjoy it. It's definitely not something to be scared about.

There was one of these topics on www.guidetothepoint.com called "ever Blacked out on MF". I remember someone saying something about how you couldn't have blacked out unless you had hit your head really hard.

I get dizzy and lose my sense of direction after the two consecutive loops on shockwave also. I can recover on the brake run. Now , if I'm sitting in the front, the SMACK will bring me back to my senses. I've also felt like I lost the feeling in my legs on a ride on Batman. This was on a rainy day and it was very busy. I get that same feeling on almost every drop on Mantis.
