Ever been the only rider on a coaster?

screamin' eagle at sfstl last year.....got to the back of the park before it opened.... so we waited. they opened it up, and we (my friend and i) jogged to screamin eagle, got the first ride of the day, with an empty train.

It's happened to me many, many times on the Skyliner at Lakemont. I seem to like that coaster a lot. My lap count for it is around 90.

My list so far:

WildFire at SDC (at night durring the holiday fest)

Orient Express at WOF (On a really cold day)

Timber Wolf at WOF (On a really wet day and only about 100 left in the park with an hour left in the day I preatty much had the wholepark to myself.)

Boomerang at WOF (I was the only one around when it reopened after a break down.)

Thunder Eagle at Race World (Deserted place I guess they charged too much to ride)

Fire in the hole at SDC (Yes it possible and it happend when they ran 2 trains (which is the minimum amout to be ran otherwise the ride ops would be asleep when you returned) and it was late in the evening at Christmas time)

There may be others but I can't think of them right now.

Went to CB 02 but got addicted to The Flying Eagles.
That is the best ride on the planet.

At PKD, I've been the only one on just about all of the coasters, excluding Volcano (for obvious reasons) and Flight of Fear (because they require a minimum of 10 people to launch a train). I was the only one on Hypersonic: XLC for 7 rides in a row one night... it was the end of the night and the park was about to close, and I knew the ride operator. Lucky me :-)

I think the only one for me was Lightning Racer. It was a TRUE solo ride, because I was alone on Thunder and Lightning was EMPTY. I was shocked that they let the trains go, but it eas right after opening and that side of the park eas deserted. In case you were wondering, I LOST to the "ghost train." :(

Nothing... NOTHING... can prepare you for... the Fourth Dimension!

Yep -

Thunder Eagle (place was a ghost town, I was literally the only one at the entire complex)

Twisted Sisters (cold day in October)

Mean Streak (rainy day in May)

The Raven (multiple times to close park on Saturday before Memorial Day).

I think that's it...

My first four rides at Silverwood, Tremors front seat, back seat, Grizzzz...Timber Terror front seat and back seat, just me all four rides.
Many times on Greezed Lightning at PGA and the Looping Thunder at Oaks Park.

Steel: 1)MF, 2)Goliath, 3)Magnum
Wood: 1)Villain, 2)Beast, 3)Roar(SFMW)

I've been the only rider on the Raven several different times while visiting HW during the week. Also, my friend Dave and I were the only one's on V2 when we visited SFGAm a few days after SRM.
I've had Mean Streak all to myself before, its pretty cool to be able to have a train all to yourself because you can scream yourself stupid.

Cedar Point vs. SFMM-like 15 isnt enough?

Me & one of my friends got rides by ourselves on both The Raven and the Legend at Holiday World. The reason being, is probably because it was a school day in May (we skipped). And actually, we are planning skipping again this year around the same time!
Last year during Joe Cool Club ERT at CP, my friend and I were the only ones on Magnum for 9 rides in a row (all re-rides). It's very weird to sit in the front seat and turn around to see 34 empty seats behind you, and it was even better when we moved to the back seat. We also rode a few times at opposite ends of the train. I also got 4 solo rides in a row on Power Tower's space shot last year, and was alone with my friend for one ride on Raptor.

11 Cedar Point trips in 2002, going for 25.

The one I remember the most is the Beast! Back in the late 80's, I went for the 'ACE walkback' thing, and was the only one to show up! I got major attitude from the ride ops... As it was going up the 2nd lift (I was in the front seat) I (stupidly, right in front of the vid cam, but what do ya expect from a 14 year old coaster freak!). The train stopped dead on the lift, and over the loud speaker came more attitude "PUT THE CAMERA AWAY!) Ouch! The the lift started again...

Rode the CP Blue Streak alone alot, worked on it in 1992-93. In the front seat, in the morning, you would always watch birds fly up and the train would hit em. We loved our ride so much (before it was pretty much RUINED, in what 1994, the year I stopped working there!) we would even sneak in rides after the GP left. Back seat.. no seatbelts.. no

It was a not so busy day at SFMM. My friend and I headed over to Viper and the station was empty. It was kind of eerie but cool.

Dania Beach Hurricane on the night of May 4,2001. There was a "coaster survivor" contest at that time and the coaster was open 24 hours a day until the last contestant was still riding.Later in the evening,I had numerous solo rides on the DBH.

hunter 11,I too, have had solo rides on Looping Thunder at Oak Park.Back in 1996 when Oaks Park first opened LT, I stopped in at Oaks after work to check it out.The park was practically deserted,so I had the coaster all to myself. The ride op was so bored that he gave me a couple free rides. I had many solo rides on Looping Thunders' predecessor,The Herschell Monster Mouse. I rode this coaster literally hundreds of times between 1974 -1995.With CCI out of the picture,I guess there is no hope of Oaks ever building a woodie:(.

I just rode Looping Thunder at Oaks a couple of days ago at my wifes' company picnic. Its' the only coaster we have to ride in Portland,Oregon. It has gotten rougher and slower since my first ride back in 1996.

I can fix anything.....where is the duct tape?

Im Japan, thre were numerous coasters I was the only rider on, including Pyrenees, yeah that's right, only rider on a train for one of the world's greatest inverteds. There just so many family parks in Japan, these little park with one big non looping coaster that goes around the park or is really twisted and only has about a dozen or so non kiddie rides. It seems like instead of having a classic woodie, the trend of classic parks in Japan seemed to be having a long mediocre adventure coaster kind of like............................................

............wait, no bad example....................... there really are none like then in the US, think of a mine train on steroids.

I rode on the last train of the night for Shivering Timbers a couple weeks ago. It was just STChick and me in the front seat. Does that count?

My wife and I were the only ones on Dragons for about an hour. Sept 22, 2001. There was another set of people that were switching off with us between fire and ice.
