My only other time was on Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa. The ride actually had a station brakes failure (just like in RCT, except not fatal), went through the station and up about halfway up the lift. Got a walk down on that one and it wasn't easy. They had to pull out special wooden stairs to upload each row. I was in the front row so I was the last to be evaced as they evaced from the back, forwards.
Certain victory.
Once was on the second lift durring a nightride when the storms came in. Pretty Scary up there with lightning in the area.
Back in 79 I actually got to walk about halfway down the first lift after about 20 minutes of sitting there.
Chuck, who's been stuck for short periods numerous times on many coasters but nothing major like those.
Anyways, in all seriousness, I have only been stuck on a hand-full of rides, most notable was Raptor, I was stuck on the lift, and then same ride, we got stuck in the MCBR for a total "stuck-ness" time of 1h45m counting both lift and MCBR.

At coasters after dark at SFGAm I got stopped about 20 feet from the top of Giant Drop for quite a while. That is one scarry ride to get stuck on. At first it wasn't bad and then you start thinking about the restraints, and being suspended close to 200 ft in the air. It also didn't help that there was a girl sitting next to me that didn't want to go on it in the first place but her friends made her.
Apollo was on the lift hill. WE had to walk off
Alphengiest was on the lift hill but after 5 mins we continues to go!
TTD in the launch Area
Flip Side was a nightmare. After coming back around we didn't stop in the station we went back up the lift and back through the station then back up the lift then throw the station were they slammed on the breaks. We stopped just before the boomerang. Stuck for 45 mins. Its sucked!
Thanks,
DMC
When was it that you went last year? The time we got stuck was around May 23rd. We got stuck almost completely at the top and everyone was cheering when we came back down.
I don't remember anyone else wanting to go for a second ride but that almost sounds like the time I got stuck that you were referring to.
1979, 1st lift on The Beast (inaugural year), King's Island. Walkdown from very near the top...kinda scary for a single-digit youngster.
My personal coaster ride from hell story: 1989, Avalanche Run (final year, sort of), Cedar Point. Stuck on MCBR (is it really a run?) for 25 minutes during mufflehead season. Found out muffleheads like to swarm near the brakes when a car is there. Also found out about the CP legendary cutomer service, as a female ride op toughed it out with us for the whole duration (what a trooper!)
1991, Mean Streak (inaugural year), Cedar Point. Stuck on 1st block brake behind the station, angling down. Felt like a guinea pig as (IIRC) this was the employee ride night before the ride opened to the public. After 15 minutes, we got the walkdown.
2004, Coasterider Express, Dave & Buster's Columbus. Ride stopped on the lift hill during a power failure. After some tense moments, I helped evacuate 2 stranded riders and helped them make the 15-inch walkdown to the platform. :)
Screamin Eagle next day
S:UF SFGAm Opening day for about 45 mins, got a free drink out of it.
American Eagle coming in on last break run
Ragin Cajun for about 20 mins, got exit passes for this one.
V2 launched about ten feet
These are just this year.
Last year I got stuck on X-Flight for about 45 min. We got back into the station, but the seats didn't move into the upright possition. We had to lay out a long 45 min.
About 6 years ago I got stuck on the "Its a small World" ride for about 3 hours. They were having thunderstorms and somehow the ride just stopped, well the ride did at least, but not the music and everything else. It was the most annoying thing I have ever experienced. Just try sitting down listening and watching that damned song for 3 hours straight!!!! It just went on and on and on. It was like the song that never ends!!!!

Some of the Ideas.
1) Since we were told they had only few more trains going out that they were stopping us to make the people in the station move to open rows or they would make our ride the last of the night.
2) Due to the rampant attempts at poaching they did the same thing as above stopped us and were going to shut the ride.
3) The ride broke and either we would get restarted and go through or (the worst idea) we would have to walk down the steps.
Well after a few minutes we hear someone walk up and talk to the back few rows of the train. Being near the front we couldn't hear what he said. So he walks up to the front and says (and i quote) "We are sorry but we are experiencing technical difficulties. We will get the ride restarted shortly and you will finish your ride." To which a good reply was...."Technical difficulties? No we just wanted to sit here and look around. Here's Your SIGN."
So after a few minutes the worker walks back down and over the speaker system we hear "Riders on the lift we will be restarting the ride soon. Please sit with your head back and you will be restarted shortly" about a minute later the chain moves and we go through the circuit for probably one of my favorite rides ever on Nitro. The people on that train just were going crazy at that coaster ripped through it's course in the dark.
The moment the entire train is on the lift, the train lurches and we hear a loud rumble. The train starts to shake back and forth and then, after a few seconds, everything goes silently. 10 minutes later, ops comes up to make sure we're all okay, but they keep looking nervously behind the train. One of my friends wiggled around her restraint enough to see that the chain lift had broken and fallen out of the ride -- and was now sitting in a huge pile behind the train.
Everyone was alright and we got manually released and walked down the track. The vindication of the whole story was the exit pass we received -- our group looked across the midway at the 1 hour 45 minute wait for Millennium Force and promptly walked right onto the second train. :)
