error in Coasterbuzz?

I entered a post on a stand-up topic by Ron Toomer's Revenge (I an't remember the exact title of the thread). I tried to edit it, got some kind of exception error, and now the thread does not appear on my screen anymore. I don't know if my post was changed or deleted or what. Can anyone else see this topic? This is really strange...

There seems to be problems. I have been getting thrown out of topics and a Deja-Vu topic I entered disappeared. I dont know. We will have to wait and see what Jeff says.

You'll get the error if something was deleted and you tried to edit it.

There are no melt-down problems... things don't just spontaneously break. I did a lot of cleaning yesterday, deleting duplicate topics, topics with non-descriptive titles, "sux/rulez" topics, ridiculous rumors, nonsense stated as fact... you know, the noise.

Well, I just posted a thread about which coasters would definitely need OTSRs and it has disappeared on me. I've seen a ton of this recently. Only a few of these "missing" posts were in any way repetitive or on the list that Jeff mentioned. I also added a post to a thread about 2001 coaster names and it was displayed after I submitted it like normal. I just went back to check it and mine was gone. Nothing of what I've posted is noise of any sort so I'm just wondering if there is something wrong somewhere... maybe to do with Daylight Savings time.

Jeff, are you sure? My post about Big Chiefs is now missing.

I am noticing a lot of topics are just getting deleted. I watched for the past 20 minutes and I have seen 6 different topics get deleted.
If you are deleting them sorry for the post. Just trying to make you aware.

I posted something about SFoG in the general buzz section. I looked for it once and found it. When I went to a different topic and came back, it was gone and someone else who had posted nearly the exact same thing as I did had his post there. I replied to it and it to disappeared when I returned to it later. What's going on? Is this a bad April fools joke?

Keep in mind that people can delete their own threads.

I've been coaching volleyball this evening, so it ain't me.

People can delete their own threads but they can't delete other people's threads. I put up a post and it got 2 responses or so then vanished. I obviously didn't delete it. The mods had no reason to delete it as it was an intelligent "non-noise" thread. I hate to say it, but the boards have been acting REALLY weird today. These other people are apparently also experiencing it.

What specifically did you post? You need to give me real examples if I'm to determine if I or one of the mods deleted something.

Well, I did just find some kid posting under eight different e-mail addresses. All posts from the same IP address (moron). I banned his entire ISP from posting. Hope no one else is on that IP block. :)

They wasted all that time creating 8 different e-mail addresses, HA.

Anyway, would it be possible for someone to "discover" one of the mods passwords and go around deleting topics?

You would have to be a pretty darn good cryptologist to figure out my password!
