When I was in school today, I made some observations. A lot of people went to Six Flags Gre. Adv. as a "day after the prom party". I noticed they talk about the park different than this enthusiast on this Message Bourd. Also not just kids in my school, but at the parks they use different words. Here's what they say as opposed to us.
Normal people--"On the second hill it feels like your floating"
Enthusiast-- "That second hill had a lot of airtime."
-----
Normal People--" The best ride was The Nitro.
Enthusiast-- "The best ride was Nitro
-----
Normal people-- "Batman the Ride is like a feet hanging roller coaster"
Enthusiast-- "Batman the Ride is an Inverted Coaster"
What are some other different use of words you notice about Normal people and Enthusiasts?
-----------------
Roller Coasters or sports? I guess there are questions nobody can answer!
Enthusiast: "Oh man, the airtime was wicked on (insert coaster), it had crazy laterals and awesome headchoppers!"
Normal: "That was a great ride."
Normal person: "Some geeky jackass told me a bunch a crap about the ride I don't care about."

Jeff - Webmaster/Admin - CoasterBuzz.com, Sillynonsense.com
"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"
Hahaha. Lol. So true Jeff. So true.
Also
Normal: I had a great day at the park
Enthusiat: The station brake on the kiddie coaster was on too hard. It ruined my day.

Normal: Deja Vu isn't running AGAIN?! Piece of s*%t, TAER IT DOWN!
Enthusiass: Deja Vu isn't running AGAIN?! Piece of s*%t, TAER IT DOWN!

Vote Jose Rijo for President
Normal: I heard that viper was closed because like some guy got hurt and died on it!!!!
Enthusiast: Viper closed for reasons due to roughness..
Why are people so eager to say that someone died on a roller coaster and that is why its closed? I mean, its pretty sick that people like to gossip about that.
Oh and Im talking about Viper at SFGADV. I think I heard this comment sometime in 2000.

Two opinions on the same coaster:
Normal: "The 6th or 7th time we went upside down almost killed me! And going around and around that circle made me soooo dizzy!"
Enthusiast: "It was okay.......but it could be a little more intense....."
Normal: O my god, that has so many loop-de-loops! Its wicked!
Enthusiast: That verticle loop into a dive loop was nice and smooth. The zero-gravity roll was one of the best ive been on, and the interlocking corkscrews were smooth.

Formally known as Millenium Force29, Alpengiest is the best!

Enthusiast: Sorry, but there was too much headbanging, so I hate this ride.

The legend lives!
(on raptor)
GP: And then it goes up and does like, 80 twists in a row!
Enthusiast: The Zero-G-Roll was nice.
*********************
GP:And at the end, it did 20 spirals!
Enthusiast: The ending helix was very intense!
*********************
GP:It crashed, and I was the only one who survived, so they put another cart on.
Enthusiast: It was very annoying when Raptor stopped on the lift. But I was glad they put another train on.

Why do they report power outages on TV?

Does anyone else find themselves sounding like an idiot when they try to "dumb down" the coastertalk to friends?
Yesterday I was trying to explain the new FoF lapbars without sounding like a know-it-all nerd, and I ended up saying, "It has like a ton of loops, but they took out the shoulder bars and now it just has a lap-thingie."

He let the contents of the bottle do the thinking; can't shake the devil's hand and say you're only kidding.
Normal:Lets go ride dat dare Steel Pantom!

-------------
At least I dont call a vertical loop a "loopdie-loop"!
