I had to climb raptor's 137 feet lift hill during a shut down..that was fun...I tried to run, well half way up i thought i had died lol I walked the rest of the way!...I was up there for about 20 minutes then they announced me to come back down over the lift pa..when i got down the people were applauding me and shouting my name..was kinda funny :)

Welcome Back Raptor Riders how was your ride?
I saw a setup on Raptor once that was lengthy. A real pain for the ride op who came flying out from the service path next to Blue Streak then had to run all the way up to the mid-course. Not fun!

I got stuck on the Viper lift at SFGAm one time and the ride op went right up there. That was my first time stuck on a lift and I seriously thought that the train was going to rollback. but the op did a good job and reassured us.
I love it when parks say sorry for their screw ups. You always end up with great bennys

hmm. Ride shut-downs. I experienced my fair share of those as well on Snake River last year. The run up the lift was a lot of fun, though I would make it at least 3 times a day. It was also quite fun racing a boatload full of guests to chute, that's halfway up the lift with a 2 huge cups full of water lol. I'm looking forward for the 204foot trek up Magnum's lift everyday. I cannot wait!

I got stuck for like 45 minutes on Montu once, and the ride op came and talked to us. I felt so bad cuz my best friend was so mean, she was like shut up and get us off of here. I told her he was doing his job and leave him alone.
I have a question. When passengers have to get off of an Inverted Coaster, how does this work. I remeber being stuck on Batman the ride, and I tried to reach for the stairs with my feet (I was on the end) and I couldn't reach. I'm about an average height, so that's not the problem. How do passenger get off of the train on Inverteds??

"4 Seats are better than 2"
Most of them have either metal grating underneath the track or they have a car that goes up the side of the stairs and allows you to step onto the car and then onto the stairs. Sometimes this car is folded up at the bottom of the stairs.

#1 Steel-Incredible Hulk
#1 Wood--Timber Wolf
there is a service car that basically acts as a moving floor that goes up the lift. They also have them on the block brakes.

I've been stuck on Magnums lift for like 4 minutes before, and the 1st brake at the end of the ride for like 4 minutes. Thats the only times I've been stoped on the lift or brakes.

I got stuck on SFGAm's Shockwave for about 15 minutes(in the rain :(), and someone came out and rambled on while we were stuck. We were in the front of the train and thus past the brake platform, but we could hear someone talking to guests. Everyone seemed to take it pretty well, so I guess it helped.
RandyHutchinson, this is in regards to when you said, "I love it when parks say sorry for their screw ups. You always end up with great bennys"
Hi...quick question. Can you please enlighten me as to what "bennys" refers to and/or means? I haven't the slightest idea. Does it stand for "stories" or "tales"? Another certain gentleman suggested that.
Anyway, I'm really curious as to what that particular word means, as without it, I cannot fully understand your post and you as a person.
And that hurts me.
Thanks
I'm guessing it stands for some Benny Hill type humor, but that's just the first thing that came to my mind when I heard it. I could be wrong!
Should have clarified. By Bennys I meant bennies or benefits. Such as a friend of mine who went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and got the heck bruised out of him on Vampire (I Think that's the name) and SFKK let him VIP status, or let him go to the front of the line, for a couple days since he already had a season pass. That kind of stuff.
Would it suck to endure the bruising process? Yeah, it probably would, but I've heard of more cases then just my SFKK friend walking away with something.

Oh, makes much more sense! Bennies is a funny word! Thanks for helping me out with that one!
Nothing was as painful as getting stuck on Six Flags Ohio's Texas Twister.
We weren't upside down, but oh, those bars on a guy for 20 minutes, UGH.
I got stuck on Test Track in WDW. It was on the first part of the ride though so it wasn't that bad.
