With screams and cheers, SeaWorld San Diego debuted it's newest roller coaster Monday. Emperor is a 153-foot tall dive coaster, that includes a 14-story drop at 90 degrees, so riders are facing straight down.

Does Woodstock Express still have the seatbelts that require a "key" to open like the belts on their flyers? I swear I remember it had them at one time.
The very existence of those belts is odd to me, especially on something like the flyers, where a quick exit may be needed in an extreme circumstance.
I don't remember the Tilt-A-Whirl having them, but I think that's the only other ride I've ridden over there. I still think they're a strange choice.
Happy that our kids have out-grown Woodstock Express, even though a little bittersweet as it was also my first coaster as Jr. Gemini...
But that absolute dumbest thing about Woodstock Express is the fact that they actually have to recheck all the restraints that spent way too much time checking the first time around for the second lap.
Promoter of fog.
What's that they say about doing the same thing twice and expecting a different outcome?

You’re thinking of Wilderness Run… But yeah, the discount double check is kinda ridiculous. Although it was a good thing once, back in 2013 my brother and his family came with us to CP. His kids were (and still are) terrified of the world. We all rode Jr Gemini, and they all lost their collective mind as the train crested that mighty tall lift hill. The ride op let us off after one lap. And of course the keyed seatbelt made that take twice as long as it needed to.
But then again, what do I know?
