Email for Club Members

I dont know how hard it would be Jeff, but I thought it would be kind of cool if club members could get a Coasterbuzz email address. For instance...joeyisch@coasterbuzz.com

Never going to happen. There's absolutely zero means to recover the cost of it.

It could be a premium service for those willing to pay for the prestige of having a Coasterbuzz email account. You might even come out a little ahead.  :)

Why would someone pay for an email account when there are so many free services out there?  And at the same time, most people already have an email account associated with their ISP.

Jeff, I don't know anything about this kind of email service.  How was rollercoaster.com able to do it for free?  Did they just shoulder the cost?
Some hosting services come with unlimited e-mail addresses.  Therefore, you can "afford" to have just anybody get their own "@whatever.com" e-mail address.  It all depends on the hosting provider.
Brett, I belive Jeff does his own serving. Nether-the-less, it takes up space and bandwidth. According to the About section, Jeff uses IMail(which is nice... I use it) and to have unlimited email addresses, it can get quite pricey(like over 2 grand). Not-to-mention Jeff would have no control on what kind of stuff is being sent and received over his server. I don't think he would appreciate people(I am not saying any one here would... but their are crazy people) sending porn using ____@coasterbuzz.com

I do have the unlimited license, but there are nearly 6,000 registered users. That's a lot of disk space and stress on that server when I could be using it to host other sites. There are also a number of liability issues and TOS enforcement issues that I absolutely don't have time to deal with.

For the same reason people pay to have an email account at David Bowie's site. It's to emphasize something you enjoy so much you're willing to shell out a few bucks to let the world know.

Also people get banned from this site everyday hard to keep up with all the email accounts closed and active.

Go get a hotmail address...GEEZ. Leave Jeff alone. If he says no then just drop it. Or maybe you just need to get a life?

a slightly different spin on it is to offer coasterbuzz email forwarding for club mumbers, like jave joe@coasterbuzz re-direct the mail to joe@joecwik.com (my email.)  that way, the person can have a coasterbuzz email address, and jeff doesnt have to manage actual email accounts.

its only a thought, since i saw this thread.

Hey Jeff!
How about ISP service to club members?  Maybe you could run a dating service too.  Let's face it, some of us could really use a dating service.
