This thread is describing the new "Tilt" coasters from Vekoma and Giovanola.
I thought that the tilt coaster has a conventinal lift.
The Vekoma tilt coasters do have a conventional lift.
New technology. It will catch on. Especially in noise sensative parks.

There is already technology available to may chain lifts quiet. No need to go to a completely different design. Also, the environmental impact statements for new coaster construction seem to indicate that the dominant noise off site for steel coasters is the screaming of the passengers, not the mechanical noise of the coaster.
