El Toro opening (sorry, search down)

They're both wooden coasters and they're both being built this year. Other than that I don't see what they have to do with eachother.
Agreed, Matt. They will be 2 VERY different experiences.

yup, already said it. el toro is going to be all about speed & power. and el toro is intamin prefab track. Voyage + El Toro = so not similar coasters

Voyage is incredible, but I still think El Toro is going to ROCK! It may not be "better", BUT if any wood coaster can give El Voyage a run for its money, El Toro is the one IMO.

Well after riding Voyage 52 times on Thursday, then riding Kentucky Rumbler 70+ times Friday, and Saturday, I got to say, from extremely recent experience, that Kentucky Rumbler overshadowes Voyage. So there is already coaster running that is better then Voyage.

Wow, I was totally unimpressed by Rumbler after riding Voyage the day before.

That's the problem with comparing alot of these rides. It's different strokes. Voyage has everything you could look for in a wooden coaster, but that certainly doesn't mean every other wooden coaster built will be rendered moot. After the rough and tumble of a GG ride, the smooth finesse of a pre-fab should be just as fun, in a different way. That drop and first hill of ET alone looks worth the gate price for me.

What's up with enthusiasts that think it's one way or the highway? How boring.

Acoustic,

Sorry to hear that. I did like both the Voyage, and Kentucky Rumbler, I'm impressed with them both.

However, when you can get an airtime machine out of a small coaster like Kentucky Rumbler, and it only gets faster from one day to the next, then I don't know how anyone couldn't be impresseed with it.

i read on gadv.com forums that the park said El Toro should open within three weeks. On the construction journal they said the tracking is scheduled to be done may 8th. thats today so im assuming they are done or nearly done, pending any uodates
