El Toro opening (sorry, search down)

Anyone have any news on El Toro's opening date? I would search for it, but, well, it's broked.

On Sixflags.com, the Construction Journal says all the tracking will be complete on May 8th as well as the whole Plaza del Carnival section. I'll be there on the 13th, but I doubt it'll be open by then since they need to test/pass inspection. The trains are on location so hopefully it won't take too long, but you never know.

I heard late this month (around memorial day)

We'll be visiting the park for the first time on May 22-May 23. What do you think our odds are? It will be painful to see that thing and not get a ride... :(

I personally wouldn't count on it man. For 2 reasons: #1 - I don't think it will be open. #2 - Besides that, if it really would open you would be surprised and happy as opposed to being disappointed and let down.

Well, if you can't ride El Toro, you can always ride Tango, the new custom-themed Zamperla Rock N' Tug!:) Yeah, you're right it would suck to just look at El Toro:( It would kind of be like the pain I felt everytime I would look at a closed Evolution (never once got a ride, but got the Jump on two separate occassions in two different years. There aren't many people who can claim that).

I might try to get up there on June 22nd, which is when Angels & Airwaves (Tom DeLonge's [formerly of Blink 182] new band) are scheduled to play at 8pm. There isn't even an album out yet and the bastards have already sold out the club tour.

I'm goin to the park today, I'll see what the progression is on El Toro. I heard if we're lucky it'll be open the end of the month.I wouldnt count on May 22 though.

Well i'm glad it will be opening somewhat early in the season, so I can ride it. :)

I'd appreciate the update DorneyDante. I know its a long shot but I can't help hoping for it.... I know better than to even guess about Ka after dealing with Dragster's "Issues" these past years. Hell, I've been in Dragster's line and had it go down mechanical, then due to weather, and mechanical again all within 20 minutes, no lie!

I definitely won't expect a ride on El Toro. After missing Xcelerator, Ghost Rider and all 3 Deja Vus any closed coaster just makes me laugh and wonder why God hates me so. ;)

There is another Six Flags park with the exact same Rockin' Tug theme props. Six Flags Great America, I believe. Stop trying to make Tango look unique. ;)

El Toro is almost done, there is some work to do on the infield of RT. BUt it looks amazing an the skyline of the park, omg!!! ITs gonna be a great ride.

I'm sorry, but from what I've been reading about Voyage, I think El Toro is going to be a let down.
