Editing posts

When anyone edits their post, it says that at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way that maybe it could um, well...not be there? Sorry about my phrasing. Or maybe there could be a little box that we can click on when we edit our posts that says, "Show that this post is edited" or something like that? The reason why is because sometimes it can be annoying to have (and read) that people's posts have been edited. That's why I suggested the box to click on because if people wanted everyone else to know that they edited it than they can, and if they don't they don't have to.

Just a suggestion ;).

Absolutely not. The whole point is that if you put something out there, you have to live with it. If you change your mind, we all have a right to know.

...but that being said, you CAN delete the message if you are re-editing, so that it only shows the *edited* message once....;) Makes for cleaner-looking posts.....

Also, a shout out to Jeff and the Mods......hope you NAILED that SoB...(and I ain't talking about the wooden coaster)...;)

Good point.

I do have to agree with Peter Soint though. If no one can see what you edited in the first place, then why is it necessary to have a note that says the post was edited.

Either way, it's never really bothered me. I don't see how it could really be an "annoyance."

I think that when someone edits a post, on the bottom of their post the "This posted was edited by.......on......" just once, i know people edit there post multiple times, because you dont see all the mistakes at once, Whenever i do this i delete all teh other "edited" things so just one appears.
