Just a small suggestion I had Jeff... Not sure if it'd be possible or not from a technical standpoint, but here goes...
Often times I feel like people don't quite realize that they have the ability to edit their posts. For instance, I'll often see a person post something full of typos, then post immediately after saying something like "Sorry for the typos". Even more often than that, I see people post twice in a row, with a follow up post "Oh and one more thing..."
Well, Im curious if it would be possible for you to implement a feature where, if a member tries to post twice in a row, they get taken to a "STOP! Edit That Post" page, in a similiar fashion as the TOS feature you are using now... I think most of the time the problem is not that people are trying to make extra noise, but that they just forget about the edit function, and I think a little reminder would go a long way. What do you think?

I love that idea! If it is possible please do this Jeff. Either people want high posts or they are just lazy, but it is stupid and un-profesional when they do stuff like this.
I was thinking somewhat along the same lines. I could not think of a solution though. I think yours is good.
And you mention about people "Trying to make extra noise." This may be true for some people. However, some people just simply do not know about the edit function.
Then there are those who post strictly to Get more numbers on their post count. I think some people here think they will be respected more if they have a higher post count.
Anyway, You mentioned about when a person is trying to post twice a message could appear... This would probably require more programming on Jeffs part (time).
Perhaps an easier solution would be to have Jeff "edit" the TOS page for a few days to mention solely how the edit function can be used. I know he can turn on the TOS requirement at will, he might be able to choose other items as well, I don't know. Just an idea.
Edit... edit... edit.

Eh, James... I guess it was late when you read my topic, but I think you should go back and read it again. I pretty much said exactly that.
