Dueling Dragon Question

All those pics are not models! Its the real deal! lol
As a Floridian and part-time visitor at IOA (BGT is my home park), I can say with some certainty that water levels at IOA have gone up and down a lot over the last couple years. Rainfall has been erratic for a few years here. I can't specifically recall the color of the water being blue at any time, but I have been there when there was little or no water in "the pond", and when there was quite a bit of water there.

Def not a model, look at the site, this guy is air photographer

Those pictures are really clean and crisp
I don't care if they are models or not, it just makes me want to go to IOA even more... nice pix though

Sorry to dissapoint you all who believe that it is a model, but I have been to the park enough times, and ridden that coaster enough times to know that that is no model. It's no mystery whether it's real or not, I can guaruntee you that it is real. That is a high quality airial photo, like the rest of the photos on the site. Because it is so high quality, and because the paint on Dueling Dragons is so fresh, combined with the bright/light blue color of the water, it gives off a too good to be true vibe, but trust me, it's not. As for the water, I have seen that water before, and it has been that color. I'm pretty sure that the color comes from the fact that the area under Dueling Dragons is all white sand, and when the white sand mixed with the water, it created a light blue color. **In Florida there are many areas where construction crews are creating man made lakes by dredging up white sand in the ground. In those areas, as the white sand is mixing with the water, I have seen water the exact same light blue color.**

Maybe since the photos were taken at 1,800 feet, the coasters would look like a model, but that doesn't look like a model.

Model or not, this is about the water: a lot of areas in FL have "retention ponds" that are there specifically to handle overflow from the severe and sudden storms, not to mention hurricanes, that will grace the area quite frequently. The depth and activity (if it's churned up by recent rains) of the water will affect the colors. At some times it may even be completely dry, most likely in the winter season when the rains are less. Remember, this is close to if not a tropical climate, they have to be aware of the water and be prepared to deal with it!

I'm gonna have to say that this is a model. Some of the trees are stuck in the ground crooked. Plus all the other things others said. I think the guy just stuck a model pic in there to see how many people would notice, or to start a discussion like this. *** This post was edited by mamba on 8/6/2001. ***
I promise you it is no model. If you browse the site, you will find another photo of Dueling Dragons from a different angle. You can see the coaster looks exactly the same as the other one, as it was taken from the same altitude. However, in this photo the the trains are on actually in the course, and on top of that, you can see a part of the midway full of people which is clearly not a model. If you look at photos of coasters at BGT like Montu, they are also high quality, and similiar looking to the Dueling Dragons photos. I assure you they are all real. Please let it go.

It's amazing to me how people have such selective vision.

Then how could a person make a model just like IOA. With people, shops, and walk walk ways that are just like the ones at IOA?

I have a picture of it, there is water, and it is really light blue, just like the picture. That's no model.

And one last thing. In the one of the other Dueling Dragons photos, on top of the buildings you can see the AC units, as well as the unpainted roofs. I'm pretty sure those things would not be included in a model.

Greetings everyone!!
Now about my pictures! Let me say this, They are NOT, I repeat!, NOT, models!! I shot every one of them from an airplane. The photo in question I believe was shot before the park officially opened, which is why the ground and water is so clean. I can easily post other pictures from the same flight once I dig them out (I just moved) but don't really feel I should have to. I've been doing this for years and most of you have been very appreciative and supportive. Helps when I know there are those out there who take my pictures and use them without permission or credit. (you know who you are, and I've contacted some of you) I will be updating my sites as soon as I can as I am also pulling the sites inhouse as soon as I get my new server up and running. I also have new shots of Disney's CA Adventure and ground shots of the new ride at 6 Flags Magic Mountain. So to all of you who say my pictures are real, Thank You!! to those who say they're models . . . .GET GLASSES!!! Just had to set the record straight! Thank You GLB
Oh, by the way, Ryan . . .Mamba
100% Wrong!!! Sorry!
