A Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom attendant was arrested Wednesday afternoon for allegedly stuffing $52 in revenue from the Hoop Shot game in a sock, South Whitehall Township police said.

That's actually the main reason I am drawn to Bowler Roller. It's usually no more than 50 cents to play and I think it's only a quarter at Kennywood.

Doesn't KI still have a slew of Bowler Rollers in Coney Mall across from the Skyline?
I've always sucked at that game. The game I'm best at (or was) is Guess Your Age/Weight. I always had the attendant guess my age and without fail, they were always way off...
...until three years ago at SFGAdv. Guess my 'perceived visible age' finally caught up with my 'actual age.' :( Haven't played since.
The first time I played the bowler game was at KI back in the early 90's and I won on my first roll. Haven't won since but haven't played it in 15 years. I did get pretty good at skeeball though! ;)

You have disturbed the forbidden temple, now-you-will-pay!!!
Sweet.. Bowling game is still around somewhere.. Now I have a coaster/bowling road trip to look forward to.
And I agree with Carrie. The cheap price and decent prizes I got from it was a decent ROI for me. Literally.. I won every roll, as long as I stayed on the same bowling ball. I learned that the adjacent ones actually had different weight balls when it was at KD. Those sneaky bastards....

Or did the actual age catch up with the perceived age? ;)
I love the bowler rollers too. You have to commit to spending $10 bucks. Once you zero in, you can get a win almost every time. But you do have to tune out the distractions.

All games pale in comparison to Fascination. Best. Game. Evah!
You just like the aroma from the ashtrays. :)
The only games I ever cared to play are the Horse Race and Flying Frogs @ Knoebels. And the frogs were the only one I was somewhat decent at.
I have a mild wack-a-mole addiction. A couple of years ago a friend pointed out that a small corner of the bedroom was now getting piled up with an assanine amount of plush prizes. I used that a a reminder that I didn't need anymore plush and played less. Then I started sending boxes of them to my niece and nephew. Until they get sick of stupid plush wack-a-mole pizes they will be enabling my problem.
If only I could get my bowler roller fix somewhere close to home. I'd even settle for a flash based game right now. The one on the Wii just doesn't cut it anymore..
OMG.. Now im finding out now theres one on the Wii.. Geeesh.. I need to get out of my computer room more often.
Wack-a-mole.. not to be confused with this less popular game with PETA

I've never noticed it at Knoebels, only Indiana Beach. But the best thing about the parlor at IB isn't the a/c or the cig-smoke aroma but the old ladies (and their been-smoking-for-decades Harvey Fierstein voices) who run the parlor. They're a hoot!
Not that I'm defending her but $5,000 seems a little steep for $52.00 non violent, no one in danger crime. Perhaps she is not from the area, thus the reason for the high bond or maybe she was charged with something higher then just petty theft. They may have allowed her to just post 10% of the bond but it still reports as 5,000. I know in Michigan most first time drunk drivers get out on 100.00 bond and that is a crime that actually endangers many people's lives. Was $52.00 worth it? Never understood why people risk a criminal record for such little $$$. But thus is life.
Bout darn time I scored a link before you veterans..
Least I finally figured out the name of the bowling game.
And I found it on ebay for the nice low (read: outrageous) price of $2500 + $1500 shipping.. Just how heavy IS this thing?

All of the midway games that I have played on a video game system just wasn't the same. There is nothing like the real thing!
Personally my all-time faves are skeeball and Whack-A-Mole, although Whack-a-Boyband at HRP was even more fun. ;)
Hopefully they didn't get rid of that one!

Bowler Rowler is my favorite skill game. Dorney used to have them on the Midway where Laser was. They had it rigged though where the platform the games were on were slightly elevated by some pegs so the game area was tilted up just enough to make it more difficult to win.
