I love the Hydra name on two levels -- the Hercules connection, and I also read it as a subtle jab at another nearby floorless coaster named after a mythological monster...
Greg, I wasn't aware that Hershey, PA was all that close to Orlando, Florida! Is there a turnpike or a hidden tunnel expressway I don't know about?
Brian, who knows what Greg was saying but couldn't miss out on mentioning the OTHER floorless named after a mythological monster. ;)

Dorney has made NO public announcements on the new attraction, other than the Hydra sign up now and the sign that was up on Hercules' station after it closed. I wouldn't expect any release until late in the season, probably September or early October as usual.
I'd consider the announcement of Hercules being ripped down and a new floorless with a few stats thrown in being printed in the Morning Call with quotes from the park's PR an official announcement of some sort. But yeah...there's been no press releases. From what I've heard, expect the announcement to be in the fall.
