Does The Thought Of Riding X Scare You?

Ok, when I rode Drop Zone at PKI, I really didn't know how tall it actually was. When I was about to get on and it said 315ft, I about crapped my pants because I really never did look up.....lol. It is SOOOOO much taller when you are up there though, I felt so cold and alone....that ride wasn't even fun, I was scared the whole time. It might have also been that when I was at the top, a thunderstorm JUST started!
X would probably make me a little nervous :) . I also get nervous on the lunched coaster. Especially Superman @ SFMM and V2 @ SFMW. I actually screamed on Goliath and Vertigo @ Knott's. The first time I went on Goliath, I screamed the whole time (litteraly) The tallest Coaster I've been on up till that point was Colossous. Then when I went on Vertigo, I actually shook after the ride was over. You should have seen me; it was hillarious!
The First time I rode V2 while standing in line was the last time I got that feeling,  I didn't get it for Deja Vu or any of the rides at Cedar Point that I hadn't rode til this summer.  But V2 for some reason made me a bit nervous, and I don't know why.  If I were going to ride X, I don't think I would get that feeling.

I'll be wearing my brown pants, just in case.

P>ONT face=Verdana size=2>I>Scream! at SNE, a 3 tower s&s. It still scares the crap out of me at the top of the Turbo Drop. I still put my hands but I couldn't look down if I tried. Just look straight ahead. The Space shot is nothin'/I>/P>
P>I agree completely.  Turbo Drops scare the crap out of me, at Knotts I was terrified to go on supreme scream, but the space shot, no prob.  X will make me nervous, you can be sure of that!/P>
Deja Vu scared me a lot.  I bet X will do 3 times the damage.  I was scared my first time on Supreme Scream and Stealth too but now those are some of my favorite rides.

Totally SFMM 2.0
id say thrill shot in vegas was the time i was probably frightened of getting on a ride...but that ride is worth it, believe me ;)
I agree... those freefall rides scare the hell outta me... I could ride a 1000ft steel coaster with no fear whatsoever...
As long as the track curves at the bottom and continues for a while, I feel pretty secure.

Rides like Power Tower, Giant Drop, Drop Zone, Acrophobia, & even Demon Drop scare me far more than even the tallest roller coasters... that plummet straight toward the ground with nothing but the ride's braking mechanism to stop you... EEEK!  Pure terror!

The whole "Skycoaster" concept and those S&S "Vertigo" things are even more terrifying.  I'm amazed that there has not been more reported disasters on those things... Kudos to the ride designers!
:-)

(Even still... I'm convinced the "extra charge" is simply to cover the high insurance costs required for such a ride... that fact doesn't exactly set my mind at ease)

As far as “X” is concerned… I’m all for it.  No fear – just a tiny bit of uneasiness since I’m not quite sure what it will feel like being flipped head over heels at the bottom of a 200ft drop.  V2’s launch & the fast cable lift on Millennium Force are probably similar on an emotional level, as they both represented riding experiences I’d never exactly felt before…

Sure, I had experienced launched coasters (Greezed Lightning & Tidal Wave) & tall lifts (Raging Bull, Magnum, etc.), but nothing with the ferocity of those rides.
Aaaah!  Technology!

Can’t wait to see what the designers come up with next…

I have no fear of riding "X". What's killing me is the anticipation!
For X, I don't thinkI would.

There were only two times where I was really sorta scared...

A. Being on the top level deck of the Stratosphere. That made me un-easy to begin with, I had a feeling I would "trip" on something, and was just freaked out walking around up there. Even on the "indoor" part at the top, I was uneasy, worrying about falling over or something. But the top was the worst.. the wind blowing at me scared the **** out of me.

B. Right when X-flight first flipped you onto your stomacxh, I was NOT expecting anything like the feeling it had.. I was like ooohhhh my gooooodd.... and the rest of the ride I was laughing because it was such an awesome experience. I think thats the only ride I have ever done that on...

X, however, I don't know.. I doubt I would... I can't wait to ride it :)

Thats exactly how I fealt. I loved that ride. No coaster so far has come that close to the terror I experienced just waiting in line let alone riding that S&S. What a rush!!!
