Jeremy is spot-on, as usual. There's absolutely nothing cool about "being in the know" - at least as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed, being "in the know" is more of a burden than anything. If you tell the wrong person, you are toast. Subtle hints are ok as long as you dont give anything specific. Whenever I am bound to anything legally, I dont publically mention specifics on anything. There are a few people around here that I do talk to that I trust. I take good care in keeping my reputation intact in the industry. I makre sure nothing is mentioned specifically on places like these boards. Actually, some parks DO want you to spread rumors about what they are getting. They enjoy reading some of the outlandish ideas people have on here. ;)

HAHAH, that is sooo true. Why do people have to act like they're so special because they *know* something?
I would rather wait and see what www.cedarpoint.com has to say before I believe anything.
I remember last year, during PPP, when a few fellows told me that in 2002, Cedar Point was getting a Launched/Intamin/SitDown/Looper over by the beach.... hmmmm What went in? Close, the Intamin/Launched part was on point, but that's it!
I just can't wait to hear the announcement so people will shut uP!

I can't wait for the announcement so people can start complaining about it. ;-)

WE HAVE BEEN OVER THIS A THOUSAND TIMES!
Besides, don't any of you remember Jeff's comments when he said that he wished the thread's wouldn't be about him, but instead about the community aspect of CoasterBuzz.
I have yet to figure out why so many of you are so damned obsessed on the issue of if he knows or not. How many times does the poor guy have to prove himself? We're just lucky his gives us clues from time to time!

It's funny that you mention that because I don't ever remember seeing him close a thread about himself....I must have missed that.
Happy Coastering!

Maybe they should build a ride named Jeff so all of you can talk about Jeff and about riding Jeff all the time. Plus, who really cares whether Jeff knows about what's happening or not? If he wants to tell you any inside info, he'll tell you. If he doesn't want to, then you're not going to find it anywhere.

I dont think it's a *whole* lot of fun knowing what's coming when you can discuss it with anybody.
Do you mean when you can't discuss it? If so, I totally agree with you. I knew about Xcelerator before it was announced, but I was bound by a non-disclosure agreement (I was a Knott's employee at the time). With all the speculation I saw leading up to the announcement, I hated not being able to talk about it, but I knew I couldn't (and I have a feeling very few people would have believed me anyway). I didn't go around tauting people with "I know something you don't know" I just kept my mouth shut.
