Dodonpa

Judges? EEEEEEEE! WRONG!

Please, do some reasearch and ride the ride a few more times before making a comment like that. The first inversion is a Sea Serpent, the second is a corkscrew.

Um, sir, please do some research on the ride yourself. The first and second inversion is a Sea Serpent, while the third is a corkscrew. http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery769.htm?Picture=8

First two links show your "1 inversion" sea serpent, and the next two links show how there are 3 inversions on both S:TR and RnRc. Please do your research sir, and maybe ride it also. BTW, I haven't ridden either.

I personally find the sea serpent interesting. Its a SLC's heartline loop for a sit down.

BTW, Dodonpa does look like a "bust-a-vein" ride, if there ever was 1... but as all of us enthusiasts know, coasters are safe :)

G's and helices. G's and helices. That's what I love! Formerly SFMMan.

1. So has anybody actually ridden Dodonpa?

2. Technically, isn't Wicked Twister the fastest inverted? (72 mph)

3. Rock n Roller Coaster and SFH's Superman are the same. I just got done riding both (well at least the Disneyworld Paris version - which is the same as the others) so I can tell you that for a fact. SFH's Goliath was good too. . .

Well....again, I am a HUGE Japanese coaster enthusiast. I have been around, that's for sure, but I haven't been back since Dodonpa opened. It looks like it will be early next year for me, and that is only if my band tour takes me there. If not, then next summer for sure. By then, someone from these boards will have ridden it. I would love to be the first!:)

Tell me again....what is it with the baby?

I rode it 2 days ago. No one under 10 or over 54 could ride. I thought that was a little strict, until I got my mind completely bent by the launch of a lifetime. Yowsers!! When I got off I was coughing, wheezing, and I felt like I had a been partying all night the night before.

okay, so i WAS partying the night before....but not enough to feel the way I did after the extreme shock to the system called Dodonpa. My wife and I agreed that a few rides on that thing back-to-back would have sent us to the medic.

Truly awe-inspiring. But I thin kI'll wait until something like it, but even faster comes out in te states. It always hasppens.

I tried to get Rock'N'roller Coaster's layout when I went on it, but I failed miserably. I got the impression that their was a sidewinder right after the launch, but if you all say it is a sea-serpent, I believe you. I know I went through a corkscrew somewhere else on the ride, and I am sure there was no vertical loop. I found the ride to be a bit bumpy, but smooth when compared to say, Shock Wave. I loved the music aspect. To me, it added a whole new dimension to the ride. The launch was a lot of fun, too. I think being in a building makes it even more intense, 'cause you know there's a wall somewhere right in front of you...

If they replaced the restraints with lap bars I bet the ride would smoothen right up! Just like the Premier clone.. Flight of Fear/Jokers Jinx/Poltergiest/Mad Cobra.

You haven't experienced these rides until you've ridden them with the lap bars.

Have you ridden Mad Cobra with the restraints? Those are awesome, and keep you in super tight. I actually like them quite a bit. Granted, I haven't ridden the Spaghetti Bowls sans restraints, so I can't comment, but again....MC with those particular restraints are just fine....

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster differs from Superman. The layout is a launch, vertical loop, turns, corkscrew, more turns, corkscrew. I know that rcdb lists Superman as a Rock n Roller Coaster type, but it really isnt.

I know you've been corrected already, but I have the proof. Visit http://www.hiddenmickeys.org/WDW/Studios/Secrets/RocknRoller.html and scroll down to about 46 and you will see inside the RocknRoller Coaster.

Wow, I can't believe what I thought(and that people are still replying to it). I was wrong I know. I rode Rock n Roller Coaster again this summer and I was so wrong. I find it funny that I had that messed up of an image in my head. Haha, pretty funny. Just to make it official, Superman and RnRC have the same layout;)

Just thought I'd note, I did just add my Dodonpa No Limits Recreation to the CoasterBuzz Games exchange... I'd say its pretty accurate considering I used nothing but pictures to do it...

Maybe someone like Peabody can tell me how accurate I really am. :)
