Do you raise your arms? Or relax and enjoy?

It seems awfully strange to me...on a wooden coaster, I like to keep the arms up and bask in the glorious airtime. On the other hand, on most steel coasters, and particularly on rides with OTSHs, I hold onto the handles, maybe because there's really no easy way to keep your hands up with such restrictive restraints...

Of course, on a ride like NITRO, you just CANNOT white-knuckle that. I rode it five times, never once holding onto the bar...you just can't on a ride like that.

NITRO kicks it into high gear...only at Six Flags Great Adventure!

Got to be Goofy -- June 22, 2001!

My other car is a rollercoaster...

This past Friday at Coastermania -- hands up all the way -- and it was my FIRST time on MF -- although the first drop seems to go on forever (it boggles the mind), I kept them up. I guess in spite of its speed and height, it feels soo safe. I loved it. From then on, I kept my arms up for ALL the coasters.
Hi all... new guy here.. thought I'd participate.

It really depends on how fast it's going to me and if I have ridden it before.. Like the first drop on the Raging Bull, I didn't do it the first time I rode it. But now I don't think I could do it any other way.

"La La La... at the DEMON! Blah blah blah blah at the DEMON! (I swear if I ever have to hear that song again..)
