Do you know what would be perfect for SFNE?

Seasupersonic-CCI doesn't design hypers, all of most of their rides are about 120 ft in height. And by the way, S:RoS is already there, a Intamin Hyper, it wouldn't make sense to add a B&M hyper when they already have a coaster above 200 ft. Also, I would really like to see them fix up the pathways and woodies. Some more landscaping would be cool, too. Make it a nicer park before expanding.

Make it to SFNE for S:Ros and BDK!!!!

CoasterGuy: I hear what you're saying...I agree with the landscaping part before expanding. If we spend a year "cleaning up" and landscape and stuff...the park would look much nicer. Then the expanding starts and the park would look amazing.

TOP 5
1. Alpengeist, 2. Magnum XL-200, 3. Superman: Ride of Steel (SFNE), 4. Volcano: The Blast Coaster, 5. Apollo's Chariot
Close Calls 1. Grizzly (PKD), 2. Batwing, 3. Montu

What I think they should do is in 2003 make the park look not only all pretty but Theme the coasters and make them top notch. Then in 2004 add a CCI Twister and a 120ft Tall B&M Launch coaster themed to a high Degree.

Is this going to turn into a wish list thread? Just kidding, anyways, I would rather a B&M Flyer and a CCI airtime woodie, but that's just me.

I learned today of some startling news...There is going to be a LIM Woodie headed to some Six Flags Park around 2003!

The park really needs a sit-down restaurant. After spending most of the day there during sweltering heat and humidity, I really needed a nice hour to relax. I ended up leaving for a nice meal. After the meal, I really thought that I was ready for some more fun, but since I left already, I really didn't feel like going back. Had there been a nice restaurant there, I would have stayed till close.

That dc superheroes cafe sucks...

Vertigo - Are any of those real sit-down restaurants? I've only been there 3 times and have not noticed any. I mean a restaurant with waiters and table service.

Of course, this is further proof I must be getting old, I am looking for a rest during a day in the park. And if I missed all these places, time to go to the home.

PS. S:ROS is still number one in my book. Just get the second train going.

I think they should have put B:tdk where the picnic area is. It would have evened out the parks crowds. Then Supermans line wouldn't be so long since if your riding Batman your on the other side of the park.

83 coasters in Track Record!! Hypersonic XLC # 100 in July. Waiting for the 305 foot drop tower in 2003. Thank you PKD.

Do you know how much money the park pulls in from the Private Pinic Grove? Besides, we won't be seeing a new coaster at Six Flags New England for a while thanks to the towns people. Six Flags had to make a rough bargain to build B:DK, and now Six Flags has to pull there side of the deal. We'll be seeing a few years of improvements before the next big coaster guys.

From what they covered at the Town Board Meetings, it was a royal rumble. The town wasn't even going to let them build Batman:Dark Knight because of all the traffic they Superman:Ride of Steel brought. You wouldn't also believe that the coaster originally wass bigger and was supposed to be 140 feet. That changed quickly after their first proposal was shot down. Six Flags will have make a lot of improvements in terms of transportation, park capacity, parking, insalating disruption of the park and so on before the town will let them even think about adding a big ride again. Grant it, that's probably not all gonna' be done in one season, but then again Six Flags will go to any exstent.

My biggest idea for improvement is the need more covered sections on the line for S:ROS as well as misters. I was there on Sat. and the heat was almost unbarable. I saw one girl almost pass out because of the heat. It wasn't even really hot, about 84. I can't imagine if it hit 90. I was happy to see one pathetic mister on the line for B:TDK , but more is needed. Also get that other darn train going! -------------
Is it true its always happy hour here? If it is I'd like to stay a while....

You know what makes it worse, the parks to best water rides are down for rehab, and it the blazin' summer.

I've been to SFNE five times this year, including today. Why has the ferris wheel been down all five times?

On a side note, I arrived at the park at 10:00 a.m. today. Went to Superman for a 90 minute wait. Shortly after my ride was finished Superman closed and was still down when I left at 5. Batman was only 5 minute wait at 11:30.

What's pathetic is that privacy wall being built when B:DK is so quiet you can barely hear it. BTW, I'm all for a V2 SFMW style Impulse in Crackaxle Canyon rocketing over the plaza in between Tomahawk and Rodeo.

SFNE drops the "floor" on SFNE for 2002! Visit my new site, www.geocities.com/sfneguide for some great pics of SFNE and lots of other info.!!!

I like that V2 idea. That could be a good themer too.

They could fit a B&M Flyer, Intamin impulse (v2), CCI or GCI twister, a family coaster (scooby doo indoor or setpoint swingthing), and maybe one of those 120 ft tall 4D coasters.

Just a quick question....How come every time that there is a "rumor thread", at least one person mentions that they park is getting a 4-D. It seems like every park in the country is getting a 4-D by the 2004 season. The world doesn't even have 1 that works yet, but everyone thinks they are getting one. I just find that humorous. And if it's not a 4-D, then it's some monstrous record-breaker.

Anyway, I also wanted to post a random question regarding SFNE since there are some people with some knowledge about the park around here...Does anyone have any idea when the second train on S:RoS may be running? I will be making a one-day only visit on the 5th and hope to get in as many rides on S:RoS as possible.

Happy Coastering!

Sean

No idea yet when the second train will be running. My advice is to go on Superman early and often, then forget it unless you want to wait two hours or more.

For Cedar Fair to take it over!
