I was at the park on April 21. I rode B: TDK 4 times and S: RoS 2 times. I went with three of my friends who have never been there before so I showed them the ropes. They were impressed with the park.
Anyway...we were down by the end of the park where Cyclone is and I told them what I thought would be perfect for the park. I told them that a "unique coaster has to be built there." I was pointing towards the picnic area behind the trampolines. That end of the park is so depressing. When I say that I mean that there is no action. Everything seems lifeless and slow. The other end of the park has a lot of action like S: RoS, Scream, B: TDK, etc. Having a top-notch coaster along with Cyclone on the other end of the park would add life to that side of the park. It seems that all of the people are down by Scream and S: RoS. I just thought that if the picnic area got moved somewhere else and a coaster took its place then the park would be near perfect because nothing is ever perfect.

I agree 100 percent. The first time I visited Sfne, I thought that I was going the wrong way to Cyclone. On an average day, there is about a ratio of 200 people on the superman side of the park to about 10 people on the cyclone side.
p.s. the one thing about cyclone that bothers me is the run two trains, but they only load people on to one of them. Why.

If the shoe fits, find another one.
I have a photo on my nightstand of my wife (then girlfriend) and I in those very gardens when we went in June 1998. I also have another picture of us in the very same spot when we went back in June 2001.
I agree, very pretty area. The foliage under Revolution also is nice.

Sometimes slow areas are nice. I'm thinking the Frontier Trail at CP, Rivertown at PKI, etc. Sometimes you can't even see any coasters from those areas. It's nice to get away from the noise for a little bit, I think.-----------------

Oh year sure! CP's Frontier Trail is slow. It only has a giga coaster and a B&M stand up coaster, MF being the most popular and Mantis being one of the most popular.

Well I don't see Six Flags New England getting anything big right around the corner. They got Superman:Ride of Steel and just added Batman:Dark Knight to balance out the line up. The private pinic area will not be going since that is the only secluded area of the park that they have for events and company pinics.
You can say that side of the park is dead at most times but not because of ack of attractions. I have never seen less than a 20 minute line for Blizzard River and Cyclone is one of the most popular attractions at night with the slowest moving line(and terrible capacity due to Six Flags always trying to grease the track to slow it down, if the ride get more than 2 mph over its average speed then they shut it down for greasing on the track.) In the future there is supposed to be some path linking to a new park area. Six Flags will have a lot of battling for the town to let them buid anymore big attractions(anything on S:ROS's scale of thrill like a 4D), don't expect a unique coaster that will give a new type of thrill. The town is not letting anything that will attract more people onto its little roads to the park. The town was fine with Riverside, but wasn't built for a high scale theme park. Traffic and parking has become an extreme issue and if you watched the battle to build a compact coaster like B:DK with the town, you could see why. There are certain standards that the park must fufilll before the zoning department will let the park build any more large attractions(there is a certain size restriction), these include things like back up lot, trams, ferries to park is also supposed to come soon, etc.(park across the river and take the boat to the ferry to the park).
The park needs more focus on well rounding the park. The park has been commented on many notes that it is not wel divided and made for familys. You shoud expect a few new family oriented rides i a package soon as I was told at Media Day in conversation.

Make it to SFNE for S:Ros and BDK!!!!
An impulse would be nice.
If the town sees that B: TDK isn't bothering the neighboring houses and is doing good things for Agawam, could the town be more lenient? B: TDK is the quietest coaster I've seen. That says something about how SF is trying to stay on the towns good side.
